    Hi all,

Anyone else had a similar issue ... I put the car in reverse, the mirrow on the passenger side dips a little, as it should ... I then back it in the garage, to get it in the garage, I have to turn the mirrors in ... I then park the car and get out.

Next time I use it ... and once of the garage, I turn the mirrors out ... however the left / passenger mirror is still pointing down ?

So I have to reposition the mirror every time I get the car out of the garage ... any ideas how to fix this / work arounds ?

    Cheers ....

How much time are you giving the mirror to return to your normal driving view? Try pulling forward and see if it goes back to normal after a pre-set speed/time. I want to say that it stays in that tilted reverse position under a certain speed, in case you go D,R,D,R trying to get into a parking space.

I'm wondering if after you select reverse, mirror drops, then I have to turn them in to get it into my garage and on starting the car next time and driving it out the garage and putting the mirrors out ... it's forgotten that it dipped them .. hence I have to put the passengar side one back up ? Anyone else suffering this ?

The mirror will restore to normal position after you shift to first. There is an intentional delay in restoring to its normal position after shifting to first (so that you don't have to wait for the mirror to redip if parallel parking in more than one step).

Thanks ... kind of you to respond, I acknowledge what you say, so it works fine when out and about, reversing, it dips, I park and then it resets fine. It's just overnight, when going back to my garage ... I reverse in the garage, it dips, I then turn the mirrors in to fit into the garage. It stays dipped whilst parked, the next day I get the car out ... when out I put the mirrors out again and it's still in the dipped position, so I have to reset it manually to being level ?

Why not shift to first before parking?

I tried that ... but because the mirrors are turned in when I finish reversing, I did put it back into first pre turning off the engine, but it didn't turn the mirror back up again ... perhaps because the mirror is turned in ?

My mirrors never dip. I do have int. and ext. electrochromatic option.

What option causes them to dip?

When you have the engine running, put the car in reverse, use the mirror adjustor button to reposition to where you would like it to point in reverse, then put it back in first and it should then rise back to normal level ... if you have electric seats, push the memory button, 1,2 or 3 and then it will retain that setting for each time you put it in reverse !

You need also to have full electric seats.

I have this feature but I am not a fan. No longer use it.

Don't want the mirror to dip when I back out of the garage or backing out of parking space in a parking lot (head first parking).

I avoid parallel parking like the plague. Even with front and rear sensors and a rear camera it does not keep someone else hitting your car. Got a very ugly scratch on the Pcar by another driver who hit the car in parallel park. Never again.

It's pretty easy, just set the mirrors where you want them, put the car in reverse without changing the mirror settings and do a re-save of the seat position. This will keep the mirrors in the same spot forward and reverse: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/roma-side-mirrors-reversing.669515/
