Anyone familiar with this dealer just north of Dallas? Any opinions or experiences? My buddy is looking at an AMG they are selling. Any good Mercedes PPI locations?

I’m not sure if they are affiliated or the same company as ecarlink there is references between the two but I cant tell for sure. A good friend picked up a car from ecarlink guys at the airfield and their fleet and the entire experience was flawless. They have a few hangers at the airfield full of just about every high end car you can think of all in perfect condition and some pretty good deals with a willingness to negotiate. Ask them if they have a location at the airfield and if so then I wouldn’t hesitate to do business with them they are top notch.

Thanx guys. So far his experience has been positve and they have let him have a PPI done by a 3rd party. I'll keep you updated if/when he assumingly will finished business with them. Thanx again for your input.

I spent some time at eCarOne recently looking at a Hummer that they had for sale. They basically gave me unfettered access to the truck, which was great. (I spent over 2 hours looking it over and test driving it.)

Here are some of my observations/notes:

    * I was told that the sales people do not work on commission. (Don't know if that is true or not.)

    * One person (a sales manager?) told me that they would be willing to drop the Hummer off at Boardwalk or Sewell for a PPI, and that they would work with me on the price based upon what the PPI found.

    * The sales person who I actually worked with when making an offer for the truck, however, told me that the price was "no-haggle" and as-is, and that they would not discount the price based upon the PPI.

    * Although I don't believe this is atypical for a used car dealership, the truck was advertised with none of the defects I noticed listed. (For example, the truck had a dent in a fender, some broken interior parts, and the blinkers didn't work -- none of which were mentioned in the ads.)

Overall, I really liked the dealership. They have a lot of very nice looking cars available. Because of my last point, however, I would not buy a car from them without personally checking it out.

eCarLink is a decent biz...not the best prices. A completely different company is eCarOne- terrible operation. They don't inspect the cars at all. All volume, no substance! A much better alternative to both companies is BobStallingsCars.com. I bought a Mercedes GL450 for my wife there and was amazed. The company is owned by Daytona Rolex Series Champion owner Bob Stallings and managed by his son in law. They do a pretty thorough inspection...Try them next time. They don't carry much inventory but they'll do locates on any car.
