Very cool! Perhaps we need a Drogo-centric thread; they created many beautiful bodies over the years. Re FerrariChat; their work maybe is *devalued* because most (all?) of the chassis numbers came from a previous 'car'; so they all get classified as *replicas*? Is that true, or a simplification? El Wayne has some fuzzy shots I sent to him in the early days of a Drogo in the Silicon Valley area, ca. 1970.....
James, I like the idea of a Drogo-specific thread. Many interesting bodies and modifications over the years. Best, Jack.

.....0716TR now lives with a pontoon body at the Scottsdale Auto Museum..... (from the old thread) So where did the Drogo body go? PS: sorry to have derailed the OP thread! we'll go away now.... and "thanks for the memories" EW...
Jim, To come back to the original subject: One thing that all Ferrari P-cars had in common was that they also looked almost flawlessly attractive. This Drogo body looks superb from the front to the roll-hoop. Then it is all broken by the straight line from the top of the air-intake back, almost like the back belongs to another car. I get the same emotion when I look at a Lola T70, which I know you love, but to me is not pleasing to the eye as it doesn't create a balanced entity. I suspect that it is more form follows function, as can be seen in more Drogo-designs, and certainly becomes evident in racecars from the era, where designers were finding the ins and outs of aerodynamics. The solutions weren't always pretty. Best, Jack.
There's no question that hyper technical cars like Audi's LMP1 aren't as pretty as 60's Prototypes and that is the challenge we're addressing with our next one which we're considering building both a road and race version of.
Interesting picture of 0838, refer to post 10 of this thread, seems the shape of this car constantly evolved with time. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-redline-restorations/194362-0838-white-elephant.html Was going through Antoine Prunet's "Ferrari Sports Racing, Prototypes and Competition cars" and 0838 caught my eye. According to Barchetta, the car lost this specific body and was rebodied again. Bit of a pity I think.
