You guys have put together a great ride. I have another commitment for most of the day, but I will try to join you guys at the start to at least run the South Bay leg. I would be bring my Ferrari this time since I'm having some carb work done on my Miura. Gil
Faisal: I have a list of about 20 ferrari drivers, which si why I had asked you to email me the contact info. It's on my laptop, so I'll post it a bit later (have to run quickly, just wanted to check in). I talked to CM, I don't think his Mac is even ready. I told him to bring the Enzo, but he said he's got an incredibly hectic day. He will try to make it to meet us @ FoLG briefly if he can. I'll post all fo the details soon. Faisal: did you call that place @ tres pinos? --Dan
WooHoo, I got brakes looks like I can make after all without dragging my feet and wearing out my Guccies I'll share all the exciting details with anyone bored enough to listen. Any mid-peninsula guys want to meet up with me at the Los Altos G&CC parking lot around 9:00 or so. It's close to 280 and Magdelena. They usually have coffee at the pro shop, and since the course is closed there's lots of room.
Dan, I think someone suggested it, but there was no consensus as to whether we wanted to eat there. So no, I haven't called them. OK, I just called called them, but they open for dinner only from 4pm, so we can't do lunch there. I made some backup reservations for 25 people for 4.30 in case we do end up going all the way through to dinner and we find ourselves still in the area. I would much rather do dinner back in Los Gatos. That town has a great atmosphere in the evenings. But I am open to anything. For lunch, I was thinking of an informal Mexican place in San Juan Batista. I don't know the name, but it had a nice atmosphere last time I was there. Either that or we can find something else, but the Inn is not an option for lunch. -f
We were at the Mexican place in SJB about a month ago, They have a room that will accomodate 20-30 people. Food is OK, but service was slow, but that shouldn't be a problem. Sounds fine with me, too bad about the Inn. Dinner is not an option for me
Can someone pls post the address of Silicon Valley Bentley? I looked it up and there are couple of possible locations. I'm thinking of meeting there. Thanks, Baron
I will be there tomorrow AM... can't stay the whole time. Will drive some or all the way down to SJB, stay a bit and turn around. Must be home by noon. BTW ( to all but Bobafett who is immune to Motor Vehicle Code), I drove down 101 to Paso Robles and back today... lots of heat. Undercover Firebirds or Camaros, marked cars... all types were on exhibit. Let's keep it under 100.
We'll probably meet you guys at SJB. The baby started projectile vomiting early this evening, so we want to make sure he's okay before striking out for the day. Let's all hope the rain holds off! --Woody
