Hi Ferrrari Fam. Currently having an issue with locking the F8 Spider with the key fob. If I click the lock button on the remote, it makes the relevant noises and arms the alarm. But I can walk up to the door and pull the handle and the door will open and the alarm goes off. This is on both doors. However if I lock manually using the key, both doors will lock properly and If I pull on the door handle the doors won’t open. The unlock button on the remote can then be used to unlock and disarm the alarm. Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this or offer some solutions. I’ve done all the usual checks already eg making sure hood and rear covers are closed. Disconnecting trickle charger etc. Any input here would be appreciated. Thanks
There was a thread on here a month or so ago talking about the same issue. Can't remember the outcome but worth a search nonetheless.
Looked at other threads, unless I missed something can’t find a similar issue to this. Any help would be appreciated.
Did you try coming back without the key (putting it "far" away) and see what happens ? if the car does not unlock in this case, it then looks like some keyless entry could be configured somewhere. Otherwise it means the car was not actually closed, for whatever mechanical or electrical issue to be investigated...
Found it but it was unresolved, sorry. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/alarm-door-lock-question.700430/
