    Hi,

    The switch in the a-pillar for the door warning light on the passenger side is malfunctioning. The warning light in the door is on all the time. Only on the passenger side (LHD).

    I did buy two new switches but I can't get the old one out. It is like the cable is too short or stuck.

    How do I get into the compartment behind the switch if I indeed loose the cable from the switch when pulling it out?

    Thank you
    //Rob

    The switch cable is usually stuck together with the door harness. You can try to push the door harness within the pilar so as to loosen the cables and then from the switch opening use a screw driver so has to push the harness away from the switch. I did it on the passenger side, and had to remove the leather trim that decorates the pilar.
