Suddenly door hinge is broken at the point where hinge attaches to the frame of the car. Literally must be cracked on the engine side of the frame. Anybody else seen this. Seems ridiculous on a 4 year old car with relatively little use.

bummer, sorry for your loss. Seems like it was a) defective or b) highly stressed.
    Can't imagine another scenario. . .

do you have a picture? It seems crazy and I would have imagined this can only happen if an excessive force had been applied to the door while open.

I’ve seen pictures of the same issue on a car here in Switzerland. I also couldn’t believe it :(

    The repair looked extensive :(

    Sorry!

That is what I am assuming. I literally am the only person that has essentially ever driven it, the car door never flung open in 100 mph wind storm, nobody sat on the car door. Seems just like pretty iffy engineering or something

Unfortunately this was also the conclusion reached by the guy I talked to :(

I truly hope you have better luck with the support from Ferrari! Fingers crossed!

Yup. Thankfully Ferrari's are so viscerally appealing.....this is my 3rd one in the last decade (all new from factory) and none of the 3 have been close to rock solid from an engineering standpoint. Warning lights come on all of the time....then disappear for 5 days...then come back on. The explanation from the service manager was essentially "since these aren't daily drivers....the battery doesnt blah blah blah....these are normal kinks that get worked out".....I decided not to tell him how many cars I have that aren't daily drivers that never have any of this stuff. Oddly this doesnt really dent my enthusiasm

Looking for some insights into what's actually involved in a repair for this issue. I am looking at two cars at the moment that both had this extensive repair done. If anyone can chime in, I'd appreciate it.
