In 2003 and 2004 Danica competed in Formula Atlantic where she also could not win. In 2003 she finished 6th. In 2004 she finished 3rd (still no wins) behind Jon Fogarty and Ryan Dalziel who have struggled to find consistent open-wheel seats. Since she is a woman, she has taken the job of at least 2 more deserving men.

Sexism is choosing Danica Patrick to fill a racing seat that she obviously doesn't deserve, not admitting she got her job because she is a nice piece of @$$

Also, Senna3xWC, I completely agree with all of your points. I feel that you aren't sexist and are looking at this the correct way. I think others who want to defend her keep pulling those same "she's way better than you" or "you're a sexist" cards because they're the easiest and simple ones to pull.

Which statistics are those? The only statistics you are thinking are 34-24-34.

Here are the statistics for 2007. Of 17 drivers to run all 17 events, Danica finished 7th.

The 6 drivers ahead of her led anywhere from 255 to 718 laps. Danica led a whopping total of...17

The only driver with similar equipment to hers who finished behind her is Marco Andretti. Marco had 6 Top-5 finishes to Danica's 4, he led 43 laps to her 17 and most importantly he had 10 DNFs to Danica's 3. One or two finsihes for Marco and Danica would have been fourth out of four on her team...yet again.

And of course the most important statistic of all: Total Wins: 0. As it has been her entire career.

All I see here is a very well-funded driver with the best equipment in the sport finishing well behind her more accomplished teammates. What I do not see is any indication whatsoever of the level of talent you claim she possesses. The fact is that of the 10 drivers below her in the ranking, I would venture to guess that at least 8 of them could match, if not surpass, her performance in that same machinery with that same level of support.

She is the Anna Kournikova of motor racing.
