Hey Ted, like I said, the stats speak for themselves. 7th in points out of 16-17 regulars including Indy 500 winner Buddy Rice, that is better than most of the men in IRL.

    You are blatently sexist.

In the same Andretti Green Racing car, Dario Franchitti was able to win the championship (and 4 races), also Tony Kanaan won 5 races and finished 3rd in the series. She has the best car on the grid and still can't win.

I like Sarah Fisher. She could be anyone's sister. Great personality comes across and she's done well for the limited time she's had a ride.

So what's the advice to get her with a car/team capable of actually winning?

Not every regular in the IRL is driving her equipment with her level of support.

You didn't see Schumacher finishing 4th in the standings driving a front-running Ferrari did you? (Massa, maybe :p)

No need, I freely admit that I suck as a race driver...but even I have won a race in an automobile...which puts me one up on Ms. Patrick.

A skilled driver in the best car in the field should be able to win a race, something Danica has not been able to do thus far. 2nd place and beyond are all losers, you race to win.

You have nothing up on Danica, except when your Viagra kicks in. That slot car race you won does not count. She would drive circles around you while you were trying to come up one of you put down lines. Then you would look as silly as your comments. Give me a break.

No, not me, give this kid a break.

Without her, we'd have no friggin American open wheeled racing because it would have died the year after she was in the 500 assuming she wasn't in that race. She brought the crowds in, she brought in the media attention, she kept it going until now.

Amazing how being perscription drug free gives me such great sentence construction.

Anyway, stop Ted, you have zero idea what you are talking about when it comes to Danica's contribution to American motorsport. As I have said over and over again, the statistics prove me right, and you wrong.

Did your mother drop you on your head and you have yet forgiven her? Negative female thing?

    Forgive, forgive, it is the right thing to do. Say this over and over. ;O}

Last year, I believe AGR won 9 races. 5 by Kanaan, 4 by Dario, 0 by Danica. Thats like giving her the 3rd Ferrari, having Kimi win 5 times, Massa 4 times (remember this is hypothetical :D), and her ZERO. If she was not a woman, she would not have the seat she has.

I do feel that she is important to Indy racing, considering she was the only thing that people have talked about at all considering open-wheel in the USA. Maybe one day she will win, but until that point, she is overrated IMO.

She doesn't need to drive circles around me, she needs to drive circles around her competition.

As I stated earlier, the worst basketball player in the NBA is far superior to any of us, however that doesn't change the fact that he is the worst basketball player in the NBA. It is irrelevant, not to mention ridiculous, to compare her driving skill to our own, it is only relevant to compare her driving skill to other drivers in the IRL. She is not competing against us, she is competing against them.

Do you compare the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to your local little league team?

Sure I do. She has made a mockery of American motorsport and she has set back women's opportunities in racing 20 years by turning herself into a pin-up girl, known more for her tits than her speed.

I want my daughter to grow up knowing that she can accomplish anything she wants by virtue of merit, not by virtue of her appearance. Reducing herself to a sex symbol demeans the accomplishments of female racers who paved the way for her by actually achieving on the track as opposed to looking good.

Danica is the Anna Kournikova of motorsports. All looks, no achievement. She has won NOTHING, not one single race at any level. NOT ONE SINGLE RACE.

That's it. Period. End of discussion.

Also adding to this. She also has a weight advantage her competition cause the IRL doesn't equallize the weights between the car and drivers.
Like every form of racing does also she secretly tested last year vario power steering that the crapwagons will have this year.
I will give credit though she's not has bad has Milka Oh No.

    Marco Andretti 135
    Ryan Briscoe 135
    Ed Carpenter 165
    Helio Castroneves 147
    Scott Dixon 150
    Milka Duno 'dunno
    Sarah Fisher 120
    Foyt IV 155
    Jay Howard 170
    Ryan Hunter-Reay 175
    Tony Kanaan 147
    Alex Lloyd 125
    Darren Manning 135
    Vitor Miera 141
    Hideki Mutoh 140
    Danica 100
    Franck Perera 126
    Buddy Rice 150
    Marty Roth 170
    Tomas Scheckter 160
    Dan Wheldon 157

I think too much is made of this. There are 2 men in the 120's, 2 more in the 130's. When you've got 50 pounds between the lightest and heaviest male drivers with no allowances by the league, don't turn it into a gender issue because she's 100. It's BS that nobody complained about this until Danica Patrick came along. Big 'Ol AJ Foyt didn't complain when the diminutive Teo Fabi stormed to the pole at Indy back in the early 80's.

Teo Fabi, I remember him. He drove the Porsche Indy car which basically was a failure. And your point is well made. Too many sexists on this forum. I like when Danica beat the likes of Wheldon and friends. Include Jackie Stewart in your comparison of weight advantages.

    Irrespective of the criticisms I get from so called knowledgeable forum participants, Danica does an excellent for someone who isn't supposed to do well. All the BS comments that have no substance mean nothing as statistics far outweigh your lack of knowledge. ;}

Ted, Danica obviously is far better than you at racing, and far better then most of the men in the IRL. I truly apoligize if this hurts you manhood, but when it comes to this subject, you not only have not proven your point, you are just wrong and have no idea what you are talking about. Sort of like the Massa subject.

I disagree. How many so called champions in any form of racing have won because of points, steady finishes, not just wins. I look at Danica's position in points in 2007, ahead of most of the men, and I give her credit. She has shown she has the speed, she has the consisitency, I can notu understant the negative comments except for a very sexist attitude.

And she would NOT CONTINUE to have her seat if she did not show ability. She has kept her seat for this many sesons for reasons obvious to those of us that do not consider gender a factor. A big difference. Sarah Fisher has to buy her ride, Milka is just a complete joke.

Come on...She's on a top quality team and can't drive cattle to water. Ever watched her closely? Have you ever noticed how nervous her car is in traffic at the front? It's called, no balls.

Up until this season, she had never been on the podium. How is she qualified to be at AGR when there are better drivers in worse equipment getting better results?

She has also gotten three poles and ZERO victories.

Right on... could be the photos and video for AGR publicity? There's so much more intelligent stuff to talk about - like Sebring - real racing with the BEST drivers.

You have got to be joking.

She has her seat...because of talent?!? Are you on drugs???

She has her seat because of looks. End of story. You prove my point for me by pointing out that Sarah Fisher, a far better driver than Danica, struggles for a ride.

Danica has ZERO WINS. ZERO WINS. ZERO WINS. What part of ZERO WINS do you not understand?? In 47 career indycar starts, she has a total of 8 Top-5 finishes. By ANY measure, her career is mediocre. Any measure whatsoever. Show me another driver in the IRL with her funding who, in 47 career starts in IndyCars (not to mention how many starts in automobiles at a lesser level) HAS ZERO WINS???

You can't because their are none. Somehow you seem to think that a commentator on this board who thinks that race drivers should actually have to demonstrate talent in order to earn a seat, and not simply have a nice set of tits, is sexist?!? Are you out of your mind?!?

What is sexist is to be an aplogist for Danica simply because you have a hard-on for her looks. I prefer my race drivers to have talent, regardless of gender, and not simply a nice arse.

I am not a sexist, sir. You are.

She is a professional race driver, she is SUPPOSED to be better than a pure amateur club racer than me. So frigging what?? I am a far better portfolio manager than she is. So friggin what. It doesn't matter if she is a better driver than me, ALL that matters is that she has to be a better driver than all the other drivers in IRL and by that measure she is not even close, not even remotely close.

You, sir, are thinking with your little head, not your big one.
