Does Jerry Seinfeld live on Further Lane?

HE ALSO HAS A SMALLER HOUSE ON DUNE RD THAT HE BOUGHT WHEN HE MARRIED THAT 18 YR OLD ISRAELI GIRL SOME 10- 15 YRS AGO

 

Like many celebs, he seems to have a number of properties. However, the big one is the former Billy Joel place on Further Lane, with the baseball field that he added after the purchase. The East Hampton Star reported on an unhappy experience that he had earlier this year with an Italian car. I'll leave it to you to figure out whether the police chief's quote of Jerry's "first time out for a spin" in the car was a pun or not:

When the brakes on Jerry Seinfeld’s Fiat did not work at the intersection of Skimhampton Road and Montauk Highway in East Hampton on Saturday night, the comedian was forced to swerve suddenly to avoid going out into traffic, police said.
(4/3/2008) Jerry Seinfeld, the comedian, was uninjured after he rolled his 1967 Fiat on Skimhampton Road in East Hampton, not far from his Further Lane house.

Police received a call of an accident just south of Montauk Highway on Saturday at 7:42 p.m. When Officer Anthony Bosco arrived on the scene three minutes later, he found the Fiat on its side, but no sign of the driver. East Hampton Town Police Chief Todd Sarris said that a representative of Mr. Seinfeld soon arrived at the scene of the accident and told Officer Bosco that Mr. Seinfeld had been behind the wheel, and that he was on his way back to give a report.

Mr. Seinfeld told police he had been traveling northwest on Skimhampton Road, and, when he approached Montauk Highway, his brakes failed. He said he pulled the emergency brake and turned the steering wheel sharply to avoid traffic on the highway, causing the Fiat to flip onto its side. He was not injured.

Chief Sarris said Mr. Seinfeld told the officer the car was new to his collection, and that this was the first time he had taken it out for a spin.

 

Seems he does live or have a place on Further Ln. Which brings me to my completely unrelated Seinfeld encounter on the UES one day about a year ago. He gave me an approving nod and accompanying facial effect as he, in his traffic-stuck Porsche in front of me uncovering my Ducati, looked the bike over.

 

Well you make it harder than if you had just entered "Further Lane East Hampton NY". But anyway, scroll that map over about 3 or 4 big squares to the south and east and look for Tyson Lane East and Further Lane. Voila!

Driving, its just right off of 27 on Egypt Lane and left on Further lane about 1/2 - 3/4 mile on the right. Egypt Lane beach is my favorite beach in East Hampton, if not the U.S. The neighbors at the Maidstone Club are not too rowdy, either.

 

...but a whole lotta Porsches.....

 

He's in E. Hampton. My friend lives next door. He's got huge hedges so you can't see anything.
