What exactly is it good for?

    500 hp
    525 tq

    The Ford Powerstroke has
    325 hp
    560 tq

What good does all that hp do for you in a big heavy truck? You need torque. I bet that thing tows like a Taurus. Sissy truck. imho. Does it come with 2 spare transmissions? Anyone who knows trucks knows that Dodge has always had an embarrasing transmission. Can't wait to see how it handles 500 hp.

Read the reviews on the net. Lots of power, but ill handling and it's all over the road.

I wonder how it compares performace wise to a Dodge Turbo-Diesel with minor modifications. I've seen some of those with over 500hp and over 1000 tq. And that seems pretty easy to get to with just a computer upgrade for some major gains in power. Aside from traction concerns those are pretty usable trucks too.

Guess it's a matter of personal taste.

Fun in a straight line and makes a Hilux look like a piece of sh*t !

It's good for 154.587 MPH, stock. World's Fastest Production Truck.

And really, on a site dedicated to Ferraris, people are complaining that it's impractical???

    Public roads? Yikes!
    Track? I really doubt it.
154.587? That's pretty accurate for being completely irrelivent.

Ive been in one before. Not the coolest truck, personally I would rather have the Lightning and im not a fan of Fords. The reason is the tranny, and the suspension, and the towing fact.

Actually, this on is the one I want. It's basically just an appearance package on the normal Hemi 1500, but I love the pseudo-60s muscle car look.

My favorite. No hood scoop, spoiler, or low pro tires. If you're going to drive a truck, at least drive something that acts like a truck. I change the oil in my F-350 about every 10k miles, never rotate the tires, usually haul a 7,500 pound CAT with it and every mile is tough. Nary a wimper after 50k miles in one year.

I will never again drive a Ford truck. Piece of junk rustbuckets.

Until International Harvester starts building pickups again, I'll stick with the Dodges. My 1996 has 163,000 miles on it and hasn't needed anything but fluid changes and brakes.

you're showing your age if you are quoting IH as a truck company :)

and the New F150 is one frickin good truck, last gen were good too. I harbor a slight bias as i used to own a pre makeover Dodge that was in every sense of the word a COMPLETE-PIECE-OF-GARBAGE. That being said the "Big Rig" look vehicles really brought that truck line back from beyond.

Who buys a pickup for handling? For the same money you can buy a vette or a used viper.I hate pickups so i wouldn't buy it but it's cool that it has a viper engine and all.
