    Here you go for sharing.

    Quick history:
My A/C quit working. I did a little troubleshooting and determined the A/C Compressor clutch is dead.
Power to the compressor connector is present but the coil does not engage.

I bought a clutch kit and had my Indi mechanic replace it and now my A/C works great again.
While I was on that area I took a look at the engine drive belt also called serpentine belt.

My car is a 2006 F430 so its 12 years old. I discovered that it’s time to have the drive belt replaced.
Belt shows sign of age and it has micro cracks all over.

Replacement is so easy, part is cheap.
Drive belt part number is 235315. Cost $47.00 at Ricambi after 10% FChat discount.

Replacement is as simple as dropping the bottom panel, taking a look and taking a picture of the proper belt routing for reference later, grab a 15mm socket, attach it to a breaker bar, fit the socket to the spring loaded tension pulley, push the bar to the left to loosen belt tension, remove the old belt, install the new belt. Done. 15 minutes tops not including removing and reinstalling bottom panel.

I took a closer look at the original belt and I see micro cracks all over. It is indeed time for replacement.

The F430’s are aging so I recommend replacing the drive belt.

I hope this helps some of you.

    Hey Dan!

Good to see you again! I've been on a read only kick for awhile.

I'd like to add that now would be a good time to change that pulley too. I did both earlier this year and like you said, it was easy.

Might as well proactively replace both!

I thought I had a belt squeak but it was really my exhaust.

It was so great meeting you and your wife in Hawaii!
