I thought I posted this info already but apparently not....

    Here you go:

    Situation:
Floor mat will not stay in place. It keeps sliding around.
Reason being - its only held in place by a plastic screw that's screwed on only to the carpet.

Here's what I did to mine to fix the issue.

I bought an industrial grade velcro.
The industrial grade velcro has a self adhesive backing however it is still not strong enough to adhere to the carpet and the back of the floor mat.
So I use a hot melt glue to glue the hook side of the velcro to the car mat, and the loop (smooth) side of the velcro I hot melt glued to the floor carpet in perfect alignment.

Allow the glue to fully cure / get cold, about 1 hour. Then install the mat to the carpet.

The power of the hot melt glue will hold the velcro to the floor carpet and also to the back of the floor mat.
The black color of the velcro matches the carpet so its barely noticeable.

The nice thing about hot melt glue also is - it's strong enough to hold most things in place and at the same time its completely reversible with no damage.

No more floor mat sliding and the floor mat is still completely removable.

Hope this helps some of you.

Why not just use mats that snap onto the anchors mounted in the carpet?
