I was going on long road trips and tracking my 360 Modena and Challenge Stradale many years back. There were a couple times that I wasn't sure I'd be able to complete the trip without needing a pad or rotor change, so I changed them ahead of the trip, and held on to the take-offs since they still had life on them. However, I never ended up using them. Now I am moving and need to figure out how to dispose of them. They seem too heavy to just toss in the trash can for normal trash pickup. lol Advice?

Here in New Jersey I just put them on the curb and the garbage man actually take him and put them aside I'm assuming they bring them to a scrap yard and get money for the scrap metal is there a scrap yard near you you could bring them and get a couple dollars or ask the garbage men if they like to take it you'll actually maybe doing them a favor

I throw them away quite often. If you have a scrapper in the area, they would love to have them.

The free section of Craigslist can work absolute magic.

I've gotten rid of everything from old cast iron rotors to sections of railroad track on there. If you list it, they will come. The key is the free section. You ask $5 and ghost town. Free section and you'll have 20 people wanting it.

Once I listed a free BBQ on CL and omg, you'd have thought I was giving away pure gold bars. I must have had 40 messages all within an hour. I replied to message #1 and the guy was like "OMG, thank you thank you thank". He rushed over in a Volvo, threw the BBQ in the back and rushed off before I could even say, "how's it going?" - he was just rambling on about "I can't believe I got it.. I've missed 12 previous BBQ's thank you thank you thank you".

Another time I had a bunch of rocks I needed to get rid of.. I thought "nobody is gonna want these". Much to my surprise, I was consistently receiving 1 message per 3-5 minutes on there until I had to pull the ad off. Old wood? No need to pay anyone to haul it away... teachers need wood for class projects. People need wood for raised planter beds.

A while back I had a big pile of mild steel. Too heavy to dump into the recycle bin. Listed it on CL and that afternoon gone. It's magic.

I'm telling ya, free section of Craigslist and call me in the morning.

    Ray
