Sorry to hear about this. I hope he gets well soon.
He was doing up to 100mph and swerving lanes?? The Dino looks a mess. Speeding puts everyone at risk. Driving with suspended licence also.........

Is he still in critical condition?

That is Zannos whom I met and spent a lot of time with at Cavallino this past January. He and his wife are awesome people and have 5 kids IIRC. His F-Chat handle is FLYZDINO.

So sad, Wish all parties involved a full and quick recovery. What a shame and again a lesson for us all. I don't think the estimated $25,000 is going to cover the Dino's recovery though.

He got what he deserved!!! Thankfully he didn't kill anyone. Don't feel a bit sorry for people who risk others safety for their own stupidness!!! Should have NOT been on the road to begin with..

I also thought that at 1st when I read the news clip. But.......you have to remember that he is a human being and his speedy recovery and all others involved is priority IMO. But as you mentioned, he should not have been on the road with a revoked licence.
:( That is a very irresponsible thing to do and a major no no!! He is lucky he didnt kill anyone.

Car is probably totalled. Thankfully, the driver, passengers and others involved were not.

That's more like $100K in damage, not $25K. Car is bent right on through the cockpit, you can see it in the doors. Assuming you can get the parts to fix the front clip, and the tube frame, and the doors...

    Geez, what a mess.

And I have to agree (sort of) with 285ferrari. If he's out there, over 100mph, on a suspended license, weaving in and out of lanes, then an accident was bound to happen, and while I pray for his recovery, I have little sympathy for his injuries. HE knew the HUGE risk he was taking, and the potential danger to himself and others, and did it anyway.

He might have been going 70 in a 65, but in Florida , everyone else was probably going 30. Stinks though, a nice car is toast, and people were hurt. Suspended liscence and a crash will equal jail time.

I've seen too many people drive this way on the street-that's what the track day is for. Yes, I am sure at some time however we are all guilty.

This is similar to what happened to me this past Saturday. Though I was doing a legal 35mph when an elderly lady thought it was clear to make a left turn. My damage is extensive but nowhere near what happened here. And I'm estimating my damage well over $25K.

    OUCH!

While I agree that speeding, changing lanes and driving on a suspended license are dangerous...I think that before we belittle this Dino driver too much, we should remember this part of the article....

"the Jeep pulled into the Ferrari's path."

I hope all involved come out of this OK.

    Might I make a suggestion?

Out of respect for our fellow Fchater, don't you think we can save the criticism for later? One of our own is down and we are being critical without knowing all the facts. Further, lapse in judgement or not, his family and friends and the other drivers family and friends are going through a tough time now.

Show some compassion and respect. He is a 41 yo cardiologist that is in critical condition.

    Come on guys

I agree, Zanos is a great guy in a bad situation.

All we know is that his Dino is wrecked & he is in the hospital

Who knows how accurate the article is. We should give him the benefit of the doubt
