    Dear All,

I am finalizing the Ferrari Supercars collection but am stuck with a dilemma and hope you guys could give me some advice.

    What I own now:
    - BBR 1:43 250GTO (Standard Red Color, Silver Rim, New Version Limited, Made in Italy)
    - BBR 1:43 288GTO (Standard Red Color, Silver Rim, Limited Edition, Made in Italy)
    - BBR 1:43 F40 (Standard Red Color, Silver Rim, Limited Edition, Made in Italy)
    - BBR 1:43 F50 (Standard Red Color, Silver Rim, Limited Edition, Made in Italy)
    - BBR 1:43 Enzo (Standard Red Color, Silver Rim, Limited Edition, Made in Italy)

What I am planning to get (either one):

    - BBR 1:43 LaFerrari (All Red Version, Black Rim, 50 pieces limited, Made in Italy)

    - BBR 1:43 LaFerrari (Standard Red + Black Roof, Silver Rim, over 2,000 pieces made on different bases, Made in China)

The point is, I am trying to collect Standard Red color and Made in Italy models. However, BBR started producing all LaFerrari in their China factory. Only a very limited run of productions were made in Italy but they are all in some special colors.

I think the All Red one is very interesting as it allows you to compare the body shape when I put it together with Enzo and all other precedents. When they are put them side by side, all in Full Red color, it easily shows how the design evolves in all these years. BUT it comes with Black rim and is different from other cars I currently own.

As for the Standard one, it gives the consistency of having the "Standard" models. All are Standard Red color, All comes with Silver Rim. However, The Standard one is Made in China and has over 2000 pieces produced (which is not scarce at all).

So which one will you choose between these two. I can get both but I am trying to build a special display for all these cars putting together so I must pick one:

I know it is a silly question but I am a perfectionist and would love to hear what you think. Thank you so much and wish you all a wonderful and fruitful new year!

Standard. The fact the other one is rarer and built separately also probably means there is less request for it. Like for a pink one for example.

Since the color of the rims on the all red version seems to be an issue, can you buy both kits and swap the rims? Since it is the same company and the same scale, I imagine they would be interchangeable.

maybe I rephrase my question --
will 1) red body + red roof + black rim + made in Italy
    OR
    2) red body + black roof + silver rim + made in China

match better with the rest of my collections which are:
    - red body + red roof + silver rim + made in Italy

considering all my cars are "one collection"?

    thanks everyone!

I've found that red with black roof looks very good on modern mid-engined Ferraris.

In terms of wheels: Silver, Black, or Gold all look great.

Regardless, go with what appeals best to you.

    Good luck.

I would pick number 2...i hate black rims, no offense to the ones who have them but i realy dislike them. Since the LAF was launched with black roof and silver rims i think that's the one you should get, to build a display of all the supercars in the very same way they were presented for the first time.....i have them in 1/18 scale and this is the way i did it.

Several, some are going to be replaced soon.
The 288 gto i'm going to get it from Looksmart (to replace old Bburago), F50 (i still have the bburago (wich is not bad at all considering the age), the Laf i have the mattel elite version, gto (kyosho is the best option, even if cmc are releasing it, i would trather stick to Kyosho) Enzo, you can pick between the BBr wich is an awsome model, i myself have the Mattel elite version wich is pretty decent......these days i'm more interested in Ferrari sports cars, there you have a range of wonderfull models from several marques ...i have some from gmp, Kyosho, tecnomodel, cmf, elite, cmc and mostly from bbr.

LOLo, no, no money for Tony K from me...:)
I wouldn't mind really but they are overexpensive for me, and i only colect f.1 in 1/43 scale. i'm pretty sure his 250lm will be a great model (if they ever release them....but not for that kind of money!!!)
This year it will be between BBr, looksmart (plenety of juicy models to come) and the odd Tecnomodel and CMF...
