im also a lover of blue ferraris own a tdf-tan 360 spider tdf gives a special touch of elegance and combinates great with tan leather and with the red back lights. for a closed maranello i think tdf with cream interior is the best here a pics of my tdf http://www.bildercache.de/anzeige/20080131-135244-274.jpg
the nart barcheta on the pic is also amazing do you have more pics of it. can you post some pics of nart cars please.
Picking up on ferrari 360's point, I would LOVE to see pix of a Tdf Blue/Cream 550 if anyone has any handy. I am pretty set on the Tdf Blue/Tan, but maybe the Cream interior is the charm.
JT, How's your 550/575 search going? In my humble opinion the Tour de France is going to be the best blue for the 550. Blue/tan is my favorite. I was just at Cavallino Classic and I saw the 550/575 in both Blue Pozzi and Tour de France. The Pozzi blue is just too dark. The Tour de France blue really shines in the sun; it is just the most beautiful color! Nart blue is kind of a strange blue. It's on the light side and just doesn't appeal to me. As for cream versus tan, cream is always very impressive, but it's quite difficult to find.
David, Good to hear from you. Still having fun with the '94 512TR, I hope? Yes, the search continues. I've kissed a few frogs and there seems to be a bit of a disconnect on 550 pricing with some dealers and owners. I saw a very nice Tdf Blue/Tan '01 550, but the owner is still holding out for $130k, which I think is out of line given where some of 575s are coming in. As you know, it pays to find the "right" car and not pull the trigger too early for something that doesn't feel right. So, I'm a patient man. How about you? Bitten by the 550/575 bug yet?
Thanks, Onno. Great shots, but I can only imagine that it must be tough keeping that interior clean. I think I'll stick with the more common (and probably more user-friendly) Tan interior. ketel
that was i mean cream-tdf imagine it with the cream suitcases beyond that is classy. http://www.bildercache.de/anzeige/20080201-134231-506.jpg
Here is dozzina explanation on the highlights in the Blue to tint the colour http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136749062&postcount=8
This thread was referenced in another thread re Ferrari blues and since a couple of people were wondering about Sebring blue, thought I'd add some pics for future reference. From http://www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/119547/index.html Don't see this beautiful colour too often - looks an awful lot like NART from some angles. here we go again how about blu mirabeau? i will ask in this part of the site this time - anybody know the origin of that color? first right answer gets a cookie
I get the feeling this is a trick question....but is it a reference to a section of the Monaco circuit? Just like Bentley used Arnage and Mulsanne as references to racing?
Thank you, Joe. There's an interesting story behind my car. When I bought my GTB, I immediately found Classic Coach for its maintenance. My first time there I noticed this 550 sitting out front with some gravel rash along the lower driver's side. It had an off-track excursion at Watkin's Glen and was in for some coachwork repair. I stood and stared at that car for the longest time. I really liked it and found out shortly after that the owner felt the same way. I figured it would never be for sale so I learned to be satisfied with just looking at it whenever it was at Classic. The day after Thanksgiving 2007, I stopped over at Classic Coach to visit and found the 550 out front in the same place it was where I first saw it almost six years earlier. I was doing my usual "staring at it" routine when the owner passed by and said "It's calling you, Barry." "It's been calling me for six years," I replied. Then he told me that he bought another car and left the 550 at Classic to be sold. I ran in and asked to test drive it. A half hour later I bought it. Perhaps the quickest sale in Classic Coach's history. They asked if I wanted the left front caliper refinished. It had never been refinished along with the rest of the driver's side. I told them to keep it that way. I think so too, Joe. Barry Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I had no idea so I had to search. Came upon your own excellent explanation http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=140832965&postcount=25 That's a very interesting story and adds great context to a beautiful colour. Thanks Ross.
