Are you referring to cars that were wrecked and then sent out to the various coachbuilders to be rebodied? A quick example would be 375 MM s/n 0402 AM, which was rebodied as a coupe by Scaglietti (originally a Pinin Farina Spyder). If so, I don't know anyone who would use the word "fake" to describe this car. Certainly it is no longer "original," but not a "fake." After all, it would be fake what?

Can you expand on your last statement? I did not understand your point.

The only true replica I can think of that was built by Ferrari is the Tipo 125 barchetta bodied car..

Agree. Wonder if they gave it a Classiche certification?

They built it for themselves. No one paid millions to have it built, and it was done before Classiche ever existed....so I doubt if it is certified :)

It wasn't built by Ferrari, it was built by Dino Cognolato of Vigonza near Padova, Italy.

Thanks Marcel. I thought Ferrari did most of the work themselves, and in essence, it was only assembled by Cognolato...
