I would have expected this from an early series but for a late car, it was a surprise

Seems way overpriced for a V12.

Low miles (bear in mind this is not a Ferrari!) and low ownership, plus a bit of auction fever.

    Hi,

Some people just love V12’s. :)

What I find more surprising is that never mind the mileage, it has been modified, the covered headlamps, the hardtop painted silver (original was always black from the factory) etc and that it is a US 1973 version with US bumpers, smog gear, etc.

I have an unrestored 1972 European spec LHD OTS car and I still can’t believe I found one. (over eight years ago) 5500+ US models were made, and only a couple hundred LHD European spec OTS cars were made.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Same type of Zenith-Strombergs, but no air pumps, gulp valves and no carbon cannisters. Also all high compression and max advance on the dizzy unlike 1973-1974 US versions where they used lower compression and less advance for ignition. It also makes servicing easier. :)

    Cheers!
