Now you mention it!!! Has always been there in my ownership and never thought to check when it was re-sprayed back to Rosso Bordeaux. Ah well it will have to stay like that now
I remember reading somewhere that Ferrari employed a midget in the early 70's and seem to recollect his name was Alessio Leggio. Your car may be one he was let loose on............ He was originally employed as a floor pan inspector!
Stunning Dino, Tony. I for one think we should all agree Grahams story, regarding the now sadly forgotten Ferrari workshop floor legend , that was Alessio Leggio......and get it added to the Dino Compendium as an appendix!
Yes, I did today! Somehow, the months since my retirement from the firm seems busier thatnbefore. I have had so little time. But, this Sunday morning, I took out the Dino for a short 15-mile sprint. The car felt really good, and the Tubi exhaust gave such a glorious, 60s-era sound; modern cars dont sound like that at all. I whipped out my phone before I brought the Dino in and snapped this photo. What a low, small car it is. Andy, Your wonderful Dino pictures always manage to brighten my morning, as soon as I power up my computer! It was 17 degrees F. here this a.m.! Regards, Fred
Thanks, Fred. It is amazing what good pictures cellphones can take now. It was quite cool and pleasant here even into March, but now summer seems to have arrived. Best, Andy
I had a bit of fun today. A photo shoot with a 750 Monza for an upcoming article in the Official Ferrari Magazine. I only managed to grab a couple of lousy phone pics I'm afraid as the weather was against us and we were doing a lot of tracking shots. I can't wait to see the photographer's work and see my car in the magazine Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well thats just blown everyone out of the water, doubt anyone can match that..................you lucky git. Both look stunning and you realise just how big the 750 Monza is against the 246!!
Simply stunning Iain, great company You have just upped the game! We will have to work really hard to beat that. Patience... Regards
Now I'm really glad I started this thread! Please make sure to come back and post a link to the article, and see if you can bribe the photographer to post an outake photo or two in this thread. Gorgeous!!
The article is due to appear in late May/June I was told. I'm under strict instructions not to post any photo's they send me unfortunately. I think it may be possible to see an online version when the next edition comes out. Ferrari Magazine - For Ferrari cars owners and fans
Iain, When you first purchased this Dino and I found out that you were really going to paint it back to the original colour, I thought this is going to be a BIG mistake! How wrong was I? It looks FANTASTIC, can't wait to see it in the flesh at one of the FOC outings. Regards, Anthony
It can NEVER be "a BIG mistake" to take a Dino back to it's birth colour! However, changing it is "a BIG mistake", obv! ;-)
I picked my Bianco Polo car up today after it's annual service and had a very enjoyable 60 + mile blast in it. I took a few pics when I got home of my variation on the Italian flag. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
