Sorry if this is a repost, but just came upon it.

I know Conti, Bosica, Ruf, Barnett, etc., but never heard of this man before.

Are any of his pieces other than that amazing Aston Martin and Lotus around??

He built quite a number of models, many GP cars as well as sports cars. Typically his works sell privately, that is.... if and when one ever comes to market. Have not seen anything of his for sale in very many years. He was one of the best, and far better than anything ever from Exoto.

His model was better, and accurate, which none of the Exoto Lotus 49 models were. It's somewhat well known that Exoto actually copied all of the 1:12 Tamiya kits using a 3-D pantograph, etc. and produced their models with all the same flaws that the Tamiya kits had. Exoto never did good or much research, hence they never knew of the flaws & inaccuracies. The bigger & better model making shops (like the ones Exoto contracted) used 3-D pantographs when required or specified back in the day to copy models. That's how many models were copied before the advent of 3D scanning and 3D printing.

You're welcome, and spelling of his name is Henri Baigent. He was British, a true craftsman & master model maker. His son made an interesting website on his fathers work - many photos. http://www.henribaigent.com
