    I’m looking to purchase a Porsche 911 from Dick. I have spoken to him a few times and he has been great. Anyone have experience purchasing a car from him and how are the conditions of the vehicles? I’m trying to find a shop to do a PPI right now. Thank you in advance.

    I had no idea he was still active. good for him.

    I would recommend Goldcrest for a PPI but that's a hike from Dick's shop.

    I spoke to him yesterday. He still seems pretty active for being in his 80s, in fact he said he still drives faster than the younger kids today. Offered me some great driving tips on timed shifting.

    I guess he opened up a business with his son close to Atlanta selling cars. I might be using Graham Eliott Motorsports for the PPI. He has a place by Road Atlanta.

    I’ve had no recent experience with Dick but way back in 1971 when he was the Porsche dealer in La Mesa (San Diego), I bought the famous Steve McQueen poster off of his showroom wall for, I think, $25. Then, about 15 years later he called me and made a crazy offer for my Carrera 2.7RS. He was a real gentleman to deal with. Another degree of separation was when I bought a 914/6 that was delivered new by his dealership in 1970.

    I purchased a 911 Turbo from Dick in Dec 2014 . Car was in excellent condition, very low mileage . Dick also sold a Jag XKR for me . Dick will not BS you. A true gentleman !!
