I have a 458 spider and I have the standard seats is it worth it to upgrade to diamond seats ?
I wouldn't take them even if they were a no-cost option because they don't suit the personality and the ultra-modern interior of this model.
Totally agreed which is why I went black with my Spider, it being more of a hard edged car than either the Cali, FF or even F12 whereas the F12 suits/needs a light interior.
I don't care for the diamond cut trim, either. It reminds me of a comforter, lol. It's nice in a luxury car, but it doesn't really suit a 458 (maybe an FF). Of course, to each their own.
Love the diamond trim seats. It really pops to me. Looks classy. The others who think it doesn't fit this car are crazy. I ordered it as a comp option for the middle part of the doors even. To each their own though. I don't care for the Daytona style in this car, although I did like it in the f430 and 599gtb.
I dont get why people think diamond patterns are for gt or luxury cars, other high performance cars have it as well if u look. I personally love it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree with this. It is inappropriate for a sports car, much less one with the raw capability of the 458.
Black is a great color for a spider. Had it on my 360 Spider and my F355 GTS. Hides the dirt better. my 458 spider has beige interior which gets dirty on the top of the humps. Diamond seats are great for a Cali. Would not have been a deal breaker buying a used 458 Spider with them. do cavillinos look good with diamond seats? The daytonas red stitching, red piping and cavallinos work for me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
We can always custom make the leather mats with the new diamond stamp or conventional Alcantara mats with Diamond stitching to match the seats! Very Unique! I do too, it also depends on the car and how you spec it. I do recall seeing a 458 racing seat with diamond stitching and it looked really good. I'm not a big fan of the 458 standard seats unless you have the Daytona inserts, it seems too plain without something there. It's definitely a personal thing, get what you want.
I have it in my Bentley and it looks terrific. Every time I see it in a Ferrari I find it off putting. I personally really dislike it.
it doesn't look good at all actually cheap!! daytona's are nostalgic, the racing seats are by far the best! second to them are the standard seats with stitching. Standards seats go with the car if you don't want to pay the freight for the racing seats!!!!
Diamond pattern looks fantastic to me for the standard seats and even better for the racing seats. The fact that it is a classy touch does not interfere with the sportiveness of the 458, IMO. In fact, coloured leather itself is a classy touch and everyone seems to like it. Real racers use lighter fabrics but road cars need a little comfort... And, oh well, it's been proven with many pics here that diamond patterns are not out of place in sports cars. FWIW, I really don't like daytonas nor piping, that was ok for many past models but find it démodé in the 458.
