Okay I have seen a couple of pictures of Diablos that have one clear tail light. It will either be on the outside right or left. What's the deal? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Okay but why only one? Is it just to set them appart? It also appears that the cars with the one clear light are GT's. I have also seen them with both clear but that is on the 6.0's. What is the reasoning, cause it looks weird. Actually more goofy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am guessing that the right (white) is for the reverse and the left (red) is for the rear foglight. I am only guessing this because that is how many german cars are.. with the foglight indicating the drivers location. Does lamborghini utilize a rear fog?
Okay but what is the spesific function? If they came like that from the factory there had to be a logical reason for it.
Here is a pic from the spotters thread with the clear one on the left. Image Unavailable, Please Login
read my previous post.. The left (drivers side) is most likely for the rear fog. The right (passenger side) is for reverse. In England it should be the opposite. edit*** the above pics looks like germany however.. i wonder if it is RHD Not sure why they would limit this to the GT's though
quoted from here.. http://www.lambocars.com/dia/diagt.htm good guess on my behalf (beit educated, since the VW beetles are like that)
Well most of europe require the rear fogs on the cars. For my VW in the US i just had to run a wire, but the mechanisms were all in place. BMW, Saab, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo etc. all have rear fogs in the US.
Well that settles is, thanks for answering my question. Yes a very good educated guess. I still think it looks retarded.
so, i took delivery of my first ever lamborghini yesterday. Had a while of a time driving it around, until late last night someone pointed out that only one of the reversing lights was working. seemed really odd at the time. woke up this morning, found this thread, and there's my answer! still think it's odd, though. isn't she a beauty? c Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
To be honest, i've owned a few high performance cars, and the 355 will probably always be my favourite. It's the total package, for me. It's relatively light, adequate power, really chuckable (in the dry), i LOVE the styling. I feel it was the cross over point for Ferrari where its the last of the old classic looking styling, but with most of the Ferrari reliability issues ironed out (at least, that's what I've heard about pre 355 Ferraris). Its a fantastic, if flawed machine. Omigod, the Diablo! I owned a 550 for 9 months, I never really thought the awesome power was very usable. If you just feather the throttle a tad too much, the rear wheels would lose traction, ASR would come on, and, for a spirited drive, wouldn't be that much fun. Don't get me wrong, its a fabulous high speed cruiser. But the Diablo is completely different! The first night I had it, it was raining hard, and I was utterly amazed at how well the big machine gets the power down. And the roar of that engine! It is completely different from anything I've driven before. Very difficult around, town, impossible to see out of while reversing, but I love it! still got more to learn about it though. Oh, and yellow? Frankly, there aren't that may Lamborghini's for sale in New Zealand. I didn't really have a choice. But yes, I can do yellow. c
Yes, the paint job is a little special. I think my sons refer to it as pearl-escent (or something like that). Not really sure what it means, but the colour seems to subtly change when viewed from different angles.
my lotus is a very similar colour, i wouldnt have chosen yellow, but now that i have it, its the only colour i would have. the reason i asked for a comparo was that im not sure if to get a 355next or spend that bit extra on the bull?
