A family emergency will regrettably cause me to miss this event tomorrow. Please take lots of pictures and we will see everyone at the next ECN. Rick Nichols
Terrific news. Wouldn't mind if one was a LP640 Roadster as I still haven't had a chance to see it yet.
I was hanging there for a while on whether or not I would be able to make it out for the event this time. As it turns out, I cannot and know I will be missing a great time. I will have to make it out sometime in the future to help support the event! Ferrari or not. . . . I'll just keep my Porsche stowed away to insure eligibility. Hopefully someone will make it out who will share their pictures here! Hope to cya all at a future Boardwalk Ferrari Show. Tyler
En Route to work this morning ( SB Tollway ) We passed no less than 4 Police Cars on the tollway... each heading NB from to NW Hwy to Plano Parkway. Maybe they know about the show too... Wish I was not working today. Be careful! Steve
Thanks Rob for a fantastic event! There were some amazing cars there today. And some great owners. Thanks for organizing everything and many thanks to Boardwalk too.
A great event, as always. Paul and I pulled out onto the tollway right in front of one of DPS's finest. Got a ticket, not for speeding, but out of date inspection.
Thank you Boardwalk and Rob for another great show! Hearing that race car was a bonus. Here's my pics. Well done Roba and all others. A good time was had by me, in my Mondial Cabrio. Thanks to F of Dallas for hosting, I'll be back. I hope everyone can come out to my mid-summer pool party in Aug. Some beautiful cars out there!
Absolutely incredible... this event was awesome! I'll have my videos and pictures online as soon as I recover from my heatstroke LOL.
There were almost more M5s, M3s, M roadsters, and M coupes there than there were F430s! lol The variety of different cars at this show was REALLY satisfying!
Great event all, big thanks to Boardwalk for hosting the event, Farmer Dave for setting up the parking area, & Rob & Jennie Lay for working registration. My photos will be up later, I need some rest.
Gosh... I didn't realize how many photos and videos I took. 222 images/videos equalling 1.7GB. This is going to take me awhile... I'm going to have to selectively upload...
Thanks everyone for coming out. For our 5th annual we set a record with 56 actual entries and the area parking lots were bustling with fine cars as well. Thanks to Boardwalk for providing the perfect lawn, tent, BBQ lunch, and then the air conditioned showroom for registration & awards. Sorry I forgot to mention something at awards, but a special thanks goes to David Mulvey and James Woods for being out there first thing in the morning to lay out the field and park cars. I know David and several others worked their butts off through the day. Thanks! Room for improvement for next year will be getting the trophies right of course, looking at adding some trophies/classes, and then we can make the schedule clearer while thinking of something exciting for the dead time between 12:30 and 1:30 when Im away calculating results. 6th Annual will probably be Saturday - May 30th, 2009. That will be confirmed after announcement of 2009 Montreal F1 date. Please PM or email any feedback or corrections to the below results. Three albums: One VERY BEAUTIFUL album full of Ferraris and Maseratis http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2096344&l=fe731&id=18800375 One OUTSTANDING album full of Lamborghinis, Porsches, and Lotuses (with some pictures of the Miura you just can't miss!) http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2096352&l=24ec2&id=18800375 and one VERY INTERESTING album full of Saleens, Camaros, BMWs, Vipers, and everything else http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2096360&l=3353e&id=18800375 side-note: Did anyone else have unusual smudges in their pictures specific to the sky? I couldn't figure it out. I had some weird stuff I had to photoshop out of most of the pictures. I couldn't figure out if it was pollution... UV "spots"... or if it was fuel lingering in the air from all the airplanes. You can see it in the front shots of the Saleen S7, and the pic of the just the planes. I didn't remove all traces of it from those... and didn't remove ANY from the plane pic. Surely we have a photographer who can explain that to me in PM... I hope! I'll add my video of me getting the ride in the Miura shortly. WHAT A DREAM COME TRUE!
Drum roll please... *pitter patter* My favorite car = Lamborghini Miura My first ride in a Lamborghini = today My video = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEK-BVE9W2M PRICELESS
