Maybe Mattel is trying to match the frequency of sales for the scale model FF car to the actual car's sales...?

    Here's a few I've picked up already.

Maisto currently doesn't offer any Ferraris due to licensing at this time, only various other manufactures like Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, Porsche, Lamborghini, Fiat, etc.. As for Costco, good luck with the hunt, some cars are harder to find than others, Here's a link to their current catalog on what you might find.

Thank you! Have been looking for a mini version of my red 911S for the wife's office. This may actually motivate me to go to Costco with the wife for the first time in years!....T

Now, now gents. :) She did buy me the 911 for my bday & insisted that I get it in classic Ferrari colors: red/beige. So, if she wants a toy for her desk to brag to her colleagues about what a great wife she is or what a lucky hubby I am, who am I to argue. Besides, as the wise men said, Porsche is the gateway drug to Ferrari and so, the more she loves the P-car, the sooner I'll get to up my game to an F-car!…T

Went up there today to take advantage of their 60% off sale. Ended up scoring two Elite models...a green Dino racecar ($39), and a 1:18 Herbie VW Beetle ($49).

They had plentiful stock of Ferrari models (348 in red and yellow, Elvis' 308 GT4, 410 Superamerica, and 250 LeMans), but the 1:18 Herbie models were going fast. They close at 5 today.

Since Mattel no longer has the exclusive licensing for Ferrari diecast collectibles, inventory at MTS hasn't changed in years & has yet to be drastically marked them down for clearance.

One the plus side if you have a Costco account, you can find Maisto 1:18 vehicles now including Ferrari. I found this California T for $13.99, not the best quality but honestly for the price It's not all that bad. Get one while you can, these move fast for the holidays.

This was found at the South Fort Worth location near 820 & Hulen but I'm surer all the locations have the same inventory. Also there might be an F12, 458, & LaFerrari to be found, I saw them in the Maisto 2015 catalog but in different scales 1:24 & 1:64, 1:18 might have been excluded for some reason.

Funny thing is, even though Mattel no longer has the license, I saw some 1:18 HW LaFerraris (non-Elite) for sale at Casa Ferrari (temporary Ferrari store/test drive hub) during Car Week. Not sure how much they were though.

Went today and got a 1:18 410 Superamerica with a green tag. For those who aren't familiar, items with green tags are in imperfect packaging, and are half off. Plus with their March Madness sale I got an extra 10% off. Paid $38 for a car regularly $90, not including tax.

As for other inventory, they had the following in 1:18:
    -348 TS, red and yellow
    -365 GTC4, black
    -250 SWB, silver
    -410 Superamerica, gold/dark red

    Lots of 1:43s though:
    -430 race cars
    -various F1 cars
    -212 Inter, dark red
-250 Lusso, red (marked down to $19.99)
    -365 GTC4, red

Lots of memories in this thread. I used to drive the boys there on Saturdays when it was cold and we didn't have anything to do. 2 hours of driving for 10 minutes of shopping. Hey Will, is that Mexican restaurant still there?

Yes, the Cardona Mexican Cafe is still there. It's always busy. Just in case anyone is curious about the place here's the address.

Fond memories here too. I remember we met Jason Miller over there for lunch once and I got to drive his Esprit. It was the first time I'd ever felt turbo lag like that. It was awesome.

I dunno what I'm gonna do with all the 1:18 models I've got... Will hold on to a few but having 40 or 50 is a little silly. I visited a transportation museum in Denver that has a die cast display room with thousands of scale model cars, and they accept donations of collections. Some Ferrari but they could use more. They don't have any of the ones I have. Possible elegant solution.

Indeed, great memories of our old lunch get-togethers over the years & shopping at MTS. I've amassed a massive collection (borderline becoming a hoarder) of 1/18th because if this place but & I'm afraid I'm going to have to thin out my collection because of lack of space & keeping my sanity.
