Dale, if you're going to spend that kind of money on a 916, it shouldn't be a ho hum base model with 3,000 miles. Get a 916 SPS or even a 996R or 998R. Those are the versions to own because they're the limited production versions made to homologate the RS race bikes for WSBK and the other SBK series. I AM 69, and there's another bike in me. Thinking KTM mini Duke, or the 690 single. Biggest issues are Florida roads (boring) and drivers (insane)...
I tell peolpe that look in my garage: "That yellow 996 is $20K, man..." Oddly enough my 2006 ST3sABS sold for $19,500 MSRP at ProItalia. Only one I would let go of, below $10K (3000 miles) I say the 2012 848 EVO SE "splits the difference" at I dunno $12,500..I've destroyed one outide COTA But it would take maybe more to get this newer 1,100 mile example. The 2012 is now "not common" so I guess a V2 Panagaile is in my future 2022 is about $16K
