might want to try san francisco motor sports in San Rafael. THey all used to be employed with Ferrari of San Francisco when Ferrari owned the dealership.

Prefer an independent detailer, thank you. Actually I'm looking for someone in the area to examine the paint, body and interior on a DD I'm interested in purchasing and felt a detailer would best suited for the job.

For that you might want to call Norberto at Classic Autocraft
735 Lincoln Ave San Rafael, CA 94901
    (415) 459-1246

He's worked on a number of F-chatters' cars.
Seems to be a good paint sleuth.
His buddy next door, at JG Installers, came from high end paint and body and then launched a 3M clear guard business. Between the two of them you might learn what you need to know. I've hired Juan at JG to do detail and correction work, although that is not his b&b.

Chris Perry, at C. Perry's Details (415.595.9567), can easily work with you - he's done a lot of stuff for us and is great. The guys at Mill Valley Car Wash (415-380-9274) have dealt with my cars several times pretty well, too....

Vraiment, thank you for recommending Norberto at Classic Autocraft. I heard from several others his work and reputation were undisputed and that was enough for me to contact him. Although I didn't require any body work Norberto was more then willing to go to the dealer and inspect the car in my behalf. He was all over and under the car and after 45 minutes called me with a detailed inspection report. An undisputed reputation is one thing, character is another and Norberto is certainly a great guy. I can't praise him enough for his attention to detail and professionalism.
