    Hello everyone,

I'm planning on helping a friend decorate a bedroom for his 3 year old boy.
They're both in love with Motorsport, especially F1.

Essentially, we're designing the room to be exactly what we would have loved as children.

Does anyone on FChat have any photos or ideas for the ultimate Motorsport themed child's room?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    If he likes Ferrari -

    Paint Furniture red.
    Large White stripe down middle.
Red and Green striping can be acquired at AutoZone, etc.

If he likes Red Bull -
    - Paint Furniture Blue
    - Yellow Accents
    - Red Bull stickers are plentiful

If he likes either Red or Blue, or even both, but is noncommittal or isn't brainwashed [yet] ;) -
    - White stripe down middle of furniture.

If British Racing Green is more appropriate -
    - Yellow stripe is optional.

If he likes Porsche and has a table set -
    - get 4 lookalike chairs, and write;
    - 2012 on one
    - 1992 on another
    - 1982 on another
    - 1972 on another . . .

That F1 car bed is pretty cool. My nephew had it and loved it! I would also hire a local artist/art student to paint an F1 start scene as a huge mural that covers a whole wall.
And maybe a factory scene on another wall, with F1 cars up on jack stands with their wheels off. There are also companies out there that can take pictures and convert them into huge wall murals.

Shelves on wall with F1 car models. Perhaps plates with the major manufacturer logos on the walls as well. F1-themed wall clock. Easy to make your own too...just buy a big ol' clock and trace out the paper on to an F1 scene printout and cut it out and stick it in. You can also buy clock mechanisms to put on to anything you want. Maybe a steering wheel and dashboard picture with a digital clock peeking out?

Sheets and pillows could be checkered flag pattern, or F1/Ferrari-themed. Flags on the walls, a couple of F1 nose cones hanging from the walls with built-in shelves, etc., and a big computer screen (if he has one) with F1-inspired screensaver/desktop.

there's lots of great stuf for a kids car theme room now ...i found a large race track road carpet from ikea for my boys room (if they still have them?) ...all manner of things could be done, like nite-glow hot wheels all over the ceiling, car signs / posters / flags (Ferrari!) all over the walls ...i say go nuts, the more fun you have doing it up to 10/10, the more amazing it'll be for them :)
