Ho Co / Mo Co salt everywhere. They didn't seem to drop tons but it doesn't take much. My babies are all put up, Stabilized and covered up until further notice. *** P&R Comments Deleted ***
Got a wonderful 50 mile lunch run in today in the sunshine and then tucked the car away. Salt and liquid just beginning to be put down on commute home at 5:30 for the morning snow.
Liquid pretreatment was pretty much everywhere from DC up the GW Parkway on the Beltway and up 270 on my ride home tonight. Gonna be a while before that all disappears
we lucked out here in AACo, looks like they used liquid outside Annapolis we never saw a snow plow in my community which is ok with me
Less lucky here. We have a lot of salt north of there but still in the county. Pasadena is a cloud of white. Waiting for rain. Lots of rain.
I needed some therapy....jumped in the Countach........3 miles down my curvy road......got to the main road......Oh Sh.t.........road is painted white for the forecasted RAIN.....game over......at least the driving season went into January
Luckily, I managed to drive my 360 yesterday to Annapolis Towne Center to test drive a Tesla S. Roads were fine. Rain this week and temps in mid 40s. Sunday should be good for Cars and Coffee followed by a $15 brunch at the Fleet Reserve at 1130am this Sunday. Sent via itty bitty electrons
Hopefully the rain keeps coming hard to wash the roads off good enough so I can play again this weekend
We're under a few inches of snow right now between annapolis and baltimore, but they didn't pretreat, so depending on whether they salt tonight or not the coming rain may wash the roads ok. I got out for a drive yesterday and the roads were clear.
60 degrees and we're still iced in on the river so no sailing. At least the rain will wash salt off this week so next week should be the start of car season again.
Just drove from Rockville, MD to near BWI airport, and the highways (I270, ICC, I95) have all been at least partially pre-treated/brined in advance of tomorrow morning's expected 1" snowfall. This sucks!
Howard County is pre-treating as well. I can't imagine the ground is cold enough for anything to stick even without the pre-treating.
I think southern Maryland may be off the hook...looks like no pre-treat and more moisture to get any remaining chemical off the road. I am ready for a car fix
So VDOT officially tried to end the driving season in NoVA by salting I66 this morning. The Dulles Greenway/267 was still clean but I66 was covered as of 10am today. Hopefully the afternoon rains washes it off.
Guess Fairfax County needs to spend the money we pay in personal property taxes. Pre-treated roads around our home in McLean this morning! Not a single $^%$ flake.
