Biffle was talking BS at the end. He said they couldn't get a run on the #17 but all he had to do was pull out coming to turn 3 with Jr. behind and it would've been like putting the brakes on the #17 and motored by. Of course then Jr would've pulled the same move he did to get second so I guess Biffle would settle for 3rd and let the #17 win rather than go for the win and hold Jr off for second.
The TV ratings must haven taken a real hit when WWE came on. Sounds as though they were lucky (again) no one was killed. BHW
From what they said he was trying to catch backup to the pack which has not speed limit and you can clearly see his tranny break from the sparks before his drivetrain completely locked up, ie not his fault at all. That was one hell of a fire though!!
I still haven't seen anything stating the cause, just "something broke". I'm thinking ServiceMaster and/or Tide are to blame...maybe a little soap on Juan's tires?! Plenty of free air time on TV and eyeball time on print/web!!! Think about it. PHOTOS: Daytona 500 Saved By Tide Detergent Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bingo. Let's see the pretty boys do 195 turning left for 500 miles in a drizzle...they will learn the meaning "safer barrier" real quick! Heck, look how fast Kimi scurried back across the pond racing in the dry!
"makes me wonder why the heck NASCAR has not come out with their rain tire yet??" Patience. It only took them how long to switch to fuel injection???
