    Hey Up

I have just been for a quick walk round my shed, and your cars are relatively easy to give proper date codes on tyres in relation to the age of your car:

    Pre 1960 road cars - 3622

    1960 - 1964 - 3822

    1964 - 1968
    14" - 5122
15" - I am very optimistic that this tyre will be back with us soon. Hopefully next month! if you go through the buying process we will contact you when they come back in stock. https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/tyres/205-15/205vr15-pirelli-cinturato-cn72.html

    1968-late '70s - 1823

when I translate then tires and tyres is in german the same
those 3622, 3822, 5122 or 1823 I never have seen on tyres. or do you mean for example with 3622 that the tyres are produced in the 36 week of 2022?

can you please explain for me ignorant what you like to tell us with this proper date?

    Romano:

Dougal gives the DOT of the tires he has for sale in correlation with their era. At least, this is how interpret this thread.

So, 3622 is 36th week of 2022, when the tire was manufactured.

Sorry yes the first 2 numbers are the week and the second 2 are the year.

So for example the 185VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CA67 that Ferrari fitted to its road going cars between 1960 to 1964

    https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/185-vr-15-pirelli-cinturato-ca67.html

the current stock has the date code 3822. 38th week of 2022. pretty good for such a specific tyre.

Romano, I believe what Dougal (=“Longstone Tyres”) is trying to say he currently has some(?) tires/tyres in stock that have manufacturing date codes that may relate to some(?) cars (Ferraris ?) originally made during certain time periods, e.g. if you have a car (Ferrari ?) made, let’s say, between 1960 & 1964, he has some(?) tires currently available with date code of 3822 that may fit your car..

He doesn’t seem to make clear what brand these tires might be or what various sizes he has in stock with the given date code, etc.
    So yes, clear as mud.

Because the tyres that Ferrari fitted to its road car between 1960 and 1964 i have them on the shelf and the date code on them is 3822. So if you own a Ferrari from between those dates you know the current date of the tyre for you is nice and fresh.

    https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari/250.html

However the tyres that Ferrari fitted to road cars before 1960 i currently a date code of 3622. Also very good for such an obscure tyre. (However i currently only have the pre 1960 radial tyres. I hope to have the 16" crossply option back in soon)

Oh incidentally i do also have the earlier 400mm radial tyre on the shelf. I have the 165HR400 with the 4122 date code. ( i should have the 175HR400 again soon) The first road Ferrari to fit radial tyres fitted 400mm wheels. RW 3598. We can still get them made if you want them.
