I was at the Mosport Indycar race in June, 1978 which featured the Unsers, AJ, Rutherford, Rick Mears, etc. Ongais just completely annihilated the entire field. He would build up 30 or 40 second leads only to have a yellow come out and take it all away. But for the yellows, he would have lapped the field 3 times or more. It was an amazing display of total dominance.
