You know. This thread was started on April fools day,, as a joke. Last Sunday , in Japan, this is all you saw of Danica,,, her smokin hot rear end. (ha ha) Image Unavailable, Please Login
The photo with Danica and Helio is just about the cutest picture I ever saw. And he's such a good sport too. I love it. Thanks for posting it. the bathing suit photo is nice too.
Hey this is MY thread! LOLOLOL! Thank you Edwardo, for topping it up! Yep, it was a good natured 4/01/08 thread but actually I have a lot of respect for her perseverance, I have watched her a long time ...so I say: CONGRATS TO DANIKA!! Getting the monkey off her back can only help in the future.. FWIW, I STILL vote "No"..on the flag tramp stamp, get that lasered off, ASAP! But that's between her and her husband.....LOL! Great pic of Helio and her..ROTFLMAO! I was awarded one about that size, once...Last Place Qualifier........finished the race in 4th place.... The picture from my car at the start is one of my favorites, to this day......
Nine months ago, I wrote the following: "Danica will win one--maybe a rain-shortened race where a flawed pit strategy will pay off; maybe a race where she backs into a win because the two leaders take themselves out in the final turn. I don't see her pulling a great pass with 5 laps to go and lengthening her lead to the wire." If you race in enough races, the leaders will run out of fuel and you can make it to victory. The real test is whether she can take a lead in a contested race and make it stick. She won, and then she cried. Call me a pig, but I also predicted that she would cry--actually, when I saw the highlights and saw she was going to win, I told my son--let's see if she cries. He said, "what do you expect, dad, she's a girl." (He's 16 and he knows already.) Like I said, I will get a few of the "pig" comments, but I'll take them. And, as I wrote before, I'd do her.
I love that shot! The expressions on the two drivers' faces, the postures and the size of the trophies. This is hilarious!
I expected coverage on the front page of most sports pages today and it was. But they just had Danica's win on the NBC nightly news. When was the last time racing was on prime time news?
More fuel for speculation; TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — Danica Patrick is a big topic in NASCAR garages again. The renewed buzz at Talladega Superspeedway stems from Patrick's first IndyCar Series win, with NASCAR drivers and team owner Jack Roush discussing the daunting challenges of a move from open-wheel racing for anyone, male or female. Patrick's win Sunday in Japan made her the first woman to win a major open-wheel race. ``It's not clear because she won an open-wheel race that it would be a straightforward thing for her to step into a stock car,'' said Roush, adding that officials with Roush Fenway Racing had spoken to Patrick in Phoenix before her win as well as last year. ``Quite to the contrary, I think she'd have to get comfortable with it and the people around her would have to get comfortable with it.'' Likewise, Sprint Cup points leader Jeff Burton talks about the potential challenges for any such move, regardless of gender. He has little doubt that a woman can succeed in NASCAR and was ``really impressed'' with Patrick's win. ``I think it's a harder transition to go from an open-wheel type car to this than people think,'' Burton said. ``I don't know if she can do it or not. Ask (Juan Pablo) Montoya how hard this is. I'm not saying we're better drivers. What I'm saying is it takes different stuff, a different driving style, to run well in these cars.'' Kevin Harvick had a similar sentiment. ``It'd be interesting to see how she'd do here,'' he said. ``I think this is a much more competitive garage than what they have over there. I think it would be a little tougher road to hoe than what she has there.'' --- I am not a big NASCAR fan but ask Montoya how hard it is to run these cars 190 MPH@ six inches from the wall. It isn't easy. I am guessing Danika would become familiar with tagging it often.
I would like to see her in Formula 1. She wont win but she might be ahead of Scott Speed, by the way is he still in F1?
Just won the ARCA race. First race won since Formula Renault five years ago (what's Formula Renault?)
This pretty much sums it up. Good and bad. Like I alluded before, if she were a he, you would not know about him today.
Well any publicity would be better than that from their showings these past 2 seasons. Sato would be my man for the job, ditch RB first.
Another show in a long line of marketing shows for Danica. A racer but hardly F1 caliber female or not.
