YOU'RE GODAMMED-A RIGHT PRIVATE, REVEILLE AT 0500 FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY PT AND I WILL MOTIVE YOU EVEN IF IT SHORT-DICKS EVERY CANNIBAL IN THE CONGO!
No, last time I tried that I pulled my own groin and I'm sure in more pain than the recipient. I've stopped kicking.
It doesn't matter where your from! If your not from Texas your not "one of them" and you'll be looked down upon! Jay
I can't see PeterS, but he asks (via proxy) "How are most Kalifornian transplants to Texas looked upon?" To which I reply, look at post 56 in this same thread.
California and New York City seem to have the most strict gun laws and that's a reflection of the people. And Oklahomans... Well they're just from Oklahoma.
Do most (or many) people take advantage of having the ability to carry a gun? I have not looked at stat's yet, but I have to think that the crime rate in Texas is lower than most states because an average Joe can carry a gun. I also like the fact that Texas has an 'Express Line' for those on Death Row!......Unlike Kalifornia where a death row inmate will sit for 20 years and waste taxpayers money.
Not really, actually most true Texans have the attitude they don't need a license to give them permission to carry a gun or not. There's a good number of people out there, odds are against an armed robber, especially at a gas station or store where several people are. They need to fix the law about how you can have a justified shooting, but still get your socks sued off in civil court. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's his "I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky?....Well, do ya punk? " look.
Ok, just wanted to make sure. Besides, I'm a special case -- "raised" in Austin (5th grade all the way through college at UT), went to law school in California, then practiced law for 5 years in New York! So what does that make me? At least I'm trying to move back here Great meeting you too Mike, sorry I had to run off without saying bye, but I was gonna be late to the Texas game (Hook'Em Horns!!) See ya'll next time I'm in town...
I was actually really sick that day. Had 8 hours of classroom. Not a fun day, except the qualification shooting.
Just landed in Austin. A guy I talked to on the plane tracked me down and gave me a huge map and told me of a few great places to eat. He mapped them out with circles and arrows. He listed the Salt Lick and Hudson's on the Bend. If everybody is this nice to a perfect stranger, I'm mov'en here! I'll spend Sat & Sun with a RE looking at 12-15 homes in Steiner Ranch, Round Rock and Lakeway. A Rental car is in line for Monday to get lost! Got a driver on Sunday evening for dinner out with my Neice downtown. Should be fun here!
Saurday's home hunting was very impressive. I think I'd need two weeks to look at all the options. I'm blown away in talking with the owners (that were at the homes on our visits) regarding their utility bills. $350 a month seemed to be the average for power and gas. I'm paying an average of $1K a month for the same
