Actually, we have a lot of homes like this in the Houston area, and they have always bugged me. If you are going to spend a million dollars on a home why build one that looks like a faux apartment building. Very boring. Plus, around here, your monthly A/C bill will be over a $1,000 a month.
Dr. Strangelove, neither of the drivers were drunk. The owner of the silver car was new to it and discovered that having Quattro (tm) does not always forgive stupidity. The owner of the blue car was doing 130mph+ up the 5 Freeway here in Southern California when he suffered a tire failure. The silver car was chipped for 300hp but the blue car was heavily modified beyond that.
I caught this little guy trying to sneak in the front door the other day. Please excuse the photography, it was the worst dig. camera I've ever had the misfortune of seeing/using. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks Jordan! I've always belived strongly in the Stabalised Approach concept. If you get the plane trimed right, most will fly themselves on airspeed. More: 1) Dad's getting on in the years. Cake now sets off smoke detectors. 2) Me next to a cool plane that I actually can't identify (at STS airport, Santa Rosa, CA.) 3) Winemaking isn't easy!!! 4) Pond at my latest property. Gonna turn it into a vacation rental I think. I get it when it's not rented
What kind of cameras are you guys using? I was about to spring on a Canon G5, but held off because I don't know much about the industry, and if I could get G5 quality levels from a smaller more compact camera, that'd be even better. Anyone? Bueller? -DC
Unless you are a pro, carrying a camera around becomes a pain. I have a Sony DSC-S85 and it's on the small side, but still bulky. I have always steered people towards the smaller Sony P9 series. That one has less battery life and zoom capabilities, but still takes fantastic pictures. As for specs, I would recommend anything over 4.1 megapixels, a decent battery life (or get two batteries), and good zoom. Always upgrade to a large-size memory media eg. 256mb or higher. Some other good features to have are the self-timer mode, burst mode (takes 3-10 pics within a second, usually one of which catches the action you need), and the ability to record short video clips (with sound). I also recommend a waterproof case if you go diving--underwater pics are fantastic. Canon Elphs are nice and small, but their flash seems to be weak. Not a biggie, in my book. The most impressive thing I have seen so far is the Casio Exilim series. They are supposedly up to 5 megapixels, but I don't know what kind of picture quality they deliver. Or how long their battery life lasts. Another thing to do is get a real pro-quality camera and just use a cell phone or PDA camera for everday stuff--the new breed is pretty good. I have my eye on the XDA O2. Not sure if it's availabe in the US, but it's pretty cool--cell phone, PDA, camera, video camera, MP3 plater, with fully-functional Windows CE computer and expansion and memory slots.
