    Just a word of caution...

Don't ever install a Culligan Water Conditioning System. Unreliable... failure prone... the service contract is for band-aids, but not for a proper fix apparently.

We've had it for 5 years... it breaks every 6 months and sprays water over the garage. Typically shut down for a week waiting for repair... wife has to wait around for the service person... repeat every 6 months.

Same failure every time... water sprays from main tank.

We have a service contract... but all they'll do is swap a gasket. This time the fix lasted 12 hours!! And it took us 6 weeks to effect this repair... The manager of the shop refused to discuss maintenance issues with my wife (account is in her name) because... his words... " it's to technical for a woman to understand. have your husband call me honey".

Culligan sucks. Don't do it. You have been warned!

Thanks for the heads up... I've been looking for a whole house water softerner.

Regarding Culligan, they just don't care and, apparently, there's no oversight either.

Time to lawyer up? I met a guy who sued Orkin for similar stuff and won millions. Courts don't like band aid fixes when more is necessary. FWIW he used Searcy Denney in WPB.

Now having read the links it makes sense why Culligan won't fix it properly. Because they're broke, milking every penny, as the ship sinks (into the softened water!)

No. Small claims at the most. Not worth the time for the money involved. From the linked article,... it's unlikely we'd ever collect. For me,... better to let it go and laugh it off. Not worth it to stay pissed off...

We've shut the system off again (can't tell the difference!). We're filing a BBB complaint,... don't expect any resolution,... but just to put them on notice and warn others.

I certainly wouldn't allow Culligan to install a new system in my property. Unlikely quality is what is required / expected.

When I purchased my home in fla,the former owner was under contract by Culligan. To make a long story short, there morons that do their installs was about as smart as a earth worm.It took three months to get rid of them.I informed them that their filter equip.was piled up next to my driveway and be removed by waste disposal on garbage pick up day. I only wish you could have seen the lousy piping job that was hanging on my garage wall.To top things off they wanted me to pay the rental charge for equipment they admitted wasen't working. In the future remember you have been WARNED.

I use pelican. It works great. My house has 12000 soft and I got their 36gpm estate system for 2300 installed it for another 750

I use that with a commercial water softener to keep the water clean and fresh here in Texas I think that one is aquapure
