I know this thread has not seen any activity in a LONG time but I am curious to know if anyone has the repair records and/or details relating to the crash 138536 experienced several years ago? How could I go about getting that information?
did you search that number here? https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/challenge-stradale-register-which-one-is-yours.248955/#post-138784962 post 30
What’s the market on the CS’s nowadays? I’m considering a property and am mildly considering selling the CS to being in the final cash amount. This is the car in question. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/2004-ferrari-challenge-stradale-360cs.600964/ Currently has 25,400 miles on it. Still has the same bit of driveway rash under the nose (just cosmetic) and the alcantara inside is still as shown in the thread above. Car needs a major which will include replacement of the trans and engine mounts (genuine Ferrari parts are in hand). Car has all books, tools (just the 17mm wheel socket is aftermarket), two keys, battery tender, and all covers. I’m thinking $170k? Title is in hand

I think you're selling yourself short. Unless there is previous damage history or something, I would have thought this car was worth closer to $200. I realize I'm an owner and not a buyer tho. Love the Alfa. I'm searching for a good Giulia Super if you know anyone with one... GLWS
I was offered a stripe-less blue driver with slightly less miles, recent service, for $180k a few months ago. Considering how crazy this FOMO market is and you have a better spec you should be able to ask more than that. GLWS and sorry to see you're selling. Edit: Can you take out a line of credit on assets you have to cover the difference on the investment you want to do cash?
Thank you for the replies guys. May put a feeler out there for $180k firm. A bit lower as it needs the major and the alcantara/nose scrapes.
How much can an alcantara conversion be 5k? I don’t think prices will really go down. They will correct a bit but not that much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My red CS has a small dash area of alcantara that has the usual sun wear, and when I looked at replacing the entire dash (which is recommended) it was about $3k. Opted to keep it stock. My black CS has combo leather and alcantara and is spotless, so I guess it depends on storage and exposure to heat/sun.
I don't believe you ever saw this car in person. Better spec is arguable. Lots of people want red, but for those that wanted a rare color, that was the car to get. It sold really quickly and I think it was priced under market as there were 3 people chasing it supposedly ready to buy after inspection. First person to get there snatched it. There have been unsolicited offers for the car once it showed up in social media for over $200. Which is why I still think that is the right # for a good rosso scuderia car. Vegas is so close to California - which for what ever reason, seems to be the place to sell Ferraris and Porsches right now.
Newport Beach Ferrari has one....https://newportbeach.ferraridealers.com/en_us/search-used-ferrari/2004/ferrari/360_challenge/2004_ferrari_360_challenge-ferrari_of_newport_beach-ZFFDU57A840135378
