Interesting... car has been for sale for over 2 years and since it didn't sell at $159k, $149k, $189k or $169k (in that order), seller raises it to $279k. Hmmm.... hope he finally gets his price. lol is this the same chick that you posted pics of posing next to your former CS? if so, she got younger!
Only for ONE day? I didn't see that. How long ago? Maybe he predicted the bubble before the bubble. lol

There comes a point where this notion of a growing "bubble" just perpetuates price gauging just for the heck of it. Because the first guy would throw whatever bid at it no matter what the hammer rose to at auction? Every dealer thinks because a few pristine examples sold for well outside the normal curve in some very select auction scenarios as outliers inside of a 6 - 9 month term that they can just over inflate pricing. It's not best way to treat a pretty small niche enthusiast market. When does the madness end? How much is too much?
F40's were $350K 6 years ago...now, $1.2 - $2.0 m. I think there is quite some distance to go on the CS. Fairly limited production, cult following, beautiful looks, great performance. When they hit $500K perhaps we will start topping out..but who really knows. Heck, they could be $120K again next year
Agree to everything except performance. Car is pretty mediocre in that department at best IMO. It is easily the best sounding Ferrari though! Top of the market for these cars won't happen until end of the year (my planned purchase date lol).
Replacing it? With what? I easily get the itch to move on to other cars after about 2-3 years but haven't tired of my CS or 996 GT3 (I'm afraid I'll regret it). Also I don't know what I would replace them with that would give me the same or better driving experience. I would love to add another but not sure wife would agree to 3 "useless cars"...lol.
A 12C replaced my CS. It's better on the street and better on the track. That was the original mandate of my CS. I always liked 12Cs and watched their prices plummet while CSs rose. I figured if their prices intersected the trade would make sense from a performance, technology and dollars perspective. I drove both side by side for a while to make sure. I may live to regret this, but I'm happy for now. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with my CS. It performed great, was very little if any trouble at all and was a pleasure to own and a thrill to drive. Bye CS. I Hate to see you go, but I love to watch you leave... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW5YaqswWM8
Funny how the ad says it's never been tracked, yet on one of the receipts it says "check the car after track day"! And why would the driver seat be changed to more track focused type!?
Whoops! Good catch. Pretty funny. Or dishonest I guess. It could also be one of those parade lap things where the car is not pushed at all. People should know how many track miles it has and then be able to form their own opinion on what that means. IMHO it means the car is well shaken down. If it had any lingering problems, they would likely reveal themselves under repeated track use. Of course a track mile is certainly harder on the car than a road mile.
Same thoughts here. Plus, notice it's riding on Hoosier slicks which must be just for looks? lol Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yah that's ridiculous that they lied then. Slicks are another level of wear on suspension components vs street or cup tires at the track. I would have a serious ppi on the suspension.
Description says engine out service...hmmm. Either owner didn't know this is not usual for a CS or maybe something more than routine major service was needed. Serious engine or tranny work?
