Just me, but I think a well preserved car can have about 750-1,000 miles per year. Condition of course is key.

Man thats just too little enjoyment for me. Think I will buy the 100K salvage title special (that looks great) and see if I can break a 100,000 miles on it before anyone else does on a CS.

I will trade the experience for the resale. Besides I will probably still get 100K for it after all that if you guys predictions come true - and I will have the experience of driving the snot out of it! ;)

The CS at Scottsdale ferrari for $139k with 39k miles and an unknown no documented accident is a big ????

High miles but looks great and probably an amazing deal consider how many people are watching the auction. On the other hand it has an accident but I can't find any pictures or info to see what was damaged. Heck it could have been a totaled car if not claimed with insurance and just repaired on the openers expense. It could have just been a cracked bumper, that's why I say it's a mystery. Love the car though!

Ok I was wrong, there is a true frame report on this CS. You can't read it on the silly scanned page on the eBay auction but you can read it here:

    www.trueframe.com
    Vin: ZFFDU57AX40133311

It says it had hood and bumper damage and repaired very well.

BUY THiS car for $139k ASAP

This assumes the only enjoyment one gets out of owning a collectible car is "driving it". We don't all have to like the same thing. My CS has 17K as I have driven it by "Ferrari Standards". However, driving my CS on a bunch of traffic packed 55MPH roads isn't what I consider "driving the snot out of it".

Then find one to drive it on. Driving to "Ferrari Standards" is laughable - you think Enzo wanted his cars to be not driven? Who made up " these Ferrari standards?" Sort of like that signature some guy has on here .... Not driving your Ferrari to save it is sort of like not sleeping with your girlfriend to save her for her next boyfriend (or something like that).

Yeah. I don't buy that analogy either. Your GF gets uglier and costs more every year. Your Ferrari looks the same if you take of it and is worth more every year. A Ferrari and a GF are basically polar opposites.

I think it is pretty hard to argue the CS is at bubble levels. Especially relative to what else you can buy in the market.

After all, a new Turbo S is only slightly cheaper/same price and those buying it will take a sizable depreciation hit with certainty.

The CS is rare and offers a special driving experience and for many just as or more exciting to drive and look at.

Price wise there is a chance CS prices will be lower (as well as higher) a year from now. However even if lower, there is a very good chance that they will decrease less than the certain depreciation of new mass produced sports cars.

Low down side (vs buying something else) with a good chance of upside--sounds like a pretty good "trade" to me and probably many other buyers. Especially offset with the enjoyment of driving a car which makes the hairs in the back of your neck stand up.

well thanks to you, there are two things which could have happened since you got on this thread....one, people who previously undervalued their cars are realising it ....and two, our gfs/wifes would be extremeeeeeeely cautious with us being on fchat......
