guys i just got my car a couple of days ago....i was passing by her earlier tonight and realised the little two power window switches' lights are on (green in colour)....keys were not in the car......what could be causing it to be on? no other switch lights are on like this continuously....
ps : when i open and close the doors, the normal cabin light comes on and off.....when the right door is opened the F1 pumps turn on for a bit....so i do not think it is related to the door switches......

First, congrats with your purchase! You're gonna love it!!!

The window switches' lights do indeed stay on for a long time after closing the door, but after about ten minutes they should go out.
If they are still on after 15 minutes, try opening and closing the door again.

BTW: if you ever close and lock your door, and the window goes down again for an inch, don't panic, just unlock, open door, close door and lock again, the window wil stay up! Mine keeps doing this once in a while, known problem.

Have you tried lowering and raising the windows to be sure they are fully raised?

I just checked on my car, window switches' lights were out, but as soon as i pulled the door lever (door locked), the lights went on for about 5 minutes! No idea what the point is for this strange behaviour, must be some Italian gremlin :D

I have the same issue on my 2007 coupe. Member spourreza had a faulty window regulator causing his issue. He did not say which side was bad. I've been keeping mine hooked to the CTEK when not in use.

    Hello,

I don't know if you had this issue dealt with or not. But, I had this issue last week when I left out of town for 4 days and came home car was dead. After the battery recharged, I didn't understand why until I too noticed that the window switches light would stay on and did not ever went off. It turns out that I had taken the driver door panel to fix an alignment with the window up and down a week before that. And I had to take the door lift lever assembly to do this. I guess when I reassembly it I didn't install one of the two micro switches that were attached to this assembly incorrectly. The micro switch in question is the one that locks the doors from the inside while all doors are closed. Once I reassemble this switch correctly, the window switches lights went off after all doors are closed. Hind sight, this information may helpful for those who ever taken their door panels apart as in speaker change, etc. Hope this help.

    1) guys the first photo shows the ever illuminating lights on the power window switches!

    2) the second photo- the orange plug which connects to the lock/unlock button- doesn't seem to operate the locking mechanism....driviprdds, there is only one plug therefore it doesn't seem to be plugged in the reverse like in your 430 which caused the similar problem in your car, mate;

    3) third photo- the white plugs are connected to the power window buttons (which work the power windows alright but the lights don't seem to turn off)

the other important bit which i did not explain in my earlier posts is that my car can't seem to lock/unlock using the lock button from the middle console! nor does it lock/unlock by me using the remote control......(been doing so manually with the keys and the guys at Ferrari told me believe it or not, change the locking mechanism!!!!!!)

i kinda had a hunch it was related with the power button switch lights not going off (because when i connect the battery, the locks seem to lock and unlock a few times by itself- even so when i pull the power window fuses and put them back on...they keep clicking "lock, unlock, lock" a few times so i knew the locking mechanism and its motors were fine).......pretty sure they're all connected but can't figure out how.... my suspicion is even strengthened by driviprdds who posted above with similar symptoms but in a different car (430)

so anyone with any clue what could be the issue?

without getting any direct help due to perhaps this issue i faced isn't common, i finally pieced together what the issue was, it was a faulty switch....the power lock-unlock button situated in the centre console above ( the orange plug above plugs to the said button switch) which malfunctioned / retarded the power locks all together and also kept the green power window switches continuously illuminated draining the batteries every few days.

unplugged it and switched off the master switch, turned it back on and did the self learn ecu procedure and everything works and the power window switches' lights turn off after a few seconds once the doors are closed.

hope this helps the next person who encounters this cause it took me awhile to get it sorted...was an elimination process as i was told to check the micro switches first!

    thanks again
