The dates for Crescent Classic 2008 will be September 11, 12, 13 and 14th. Registration information will be available January 2008 on our website, www.crescentclassic.com. Registration will need to be completed by July 1st with late registration available until August 1st 2008. Hotel registrations at the Crescent Hotel can be made now. Crescent Classic 2007 completely sold out at the Crescent Hotel with two alternative hotels also sold out, so early registration is recomended. We look forward to seeing you at Crescent Classic! Just a brief note to announce 2008 registration will open this month. We will accept alumni first, referrals from alumni next and every attempt will be made to accept new participants but space is exremely limited so early registration is a great idea. We have nothing but great news this year, all of our previous sponsors are returning with some new sponsors wanting to participate. As alumni know, unlike most events, each year is different with Crescent Classic, every year is a new event being shared with old and new friends. Last year involved private car collections and an incredible airplane collection, but less driving than previous years. Accept this as your warning, 2008 is VERY, VERY different! As inspired by the first year of the Crescent Classic, this year is a "driver's" year! Our resident road expert Thomas Achord gave me some clues and I took it from there! Let me just say that the drive this year is the most beautiful, the longest, the most exciting and the most challenging we have ever offered! I literally went through a set of pads and rotors on my new Ranger Rover Sport half way through the initial drive and had to enlist SCCA D Production champion Chris Brannon (who happened to live close by) to rescue me and complete the drive (thanks Chris!). A month later we drove it in a new CLK 63 AMG Black Edition and could not believe how much fun it was! For those that have experienced the Pig Trail, this route makes the Pig Trail feel as straight as a runway! (No kiddding!) WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT TIME IN 2008! The ironic part is the "bibs" are from a pre-tech age when having a private phone line in your house was unheard of, yet now we're "pasting" hyperlinks to Wal Mart's web site to search cyberspace for an Iowa Tux hehehe.
