The Fiberglass body is decently done(not by the guy who built the car), but his details are lacking.

No metal finish to the front grill inset, same for roof scoops , door handles, and filler cap. Taillights should have white centers, his rear wing is off, and it probably doesn't raise. He has a sloping rear window rear as the Veyron has a vertical rear window. Door mirrors are also not as sleek nor have side markers. It could just be the mirrors, but the A pillars look thicker than they should be(common replica issue)

Just a few details that make it really fall short. That, and the ugly color scheme! Bright red is not the Veyron's color!!! Then to clash it with black just ain't right.(Not to mention, the real red/black Veyron has its two tone inverted from this one, black car with red ascent.) A darker metallic red with a charcoal black would of looked much better, but then again, its built over a car you can pick up for $800 so it might as well have some cheap flaws....

The sad thing about the title of that article, is that he did not build a super car.

$90,000 price tag is a flaw in itself.

I'm sure it's not only cheaper to build than a Lamborghini Replica but its much easier also since there's not serious stetch work that needs to be done to the frame. For sure though it's not something some ricer can do like bolting on a Civic body kit but there's no need to be asking Dodge Viper money for it.

I added things up, about $20K is likely what the guy has in it, the car is about $800, body he probably bought for less than $8K. Throw in the bling wheels for a couple K if bought new, then the stuff for the interior, and a painting it.

There are SUCH much nicer cars that could be had for $90K, I actually looked using $94K as a starting point and searching the net going down in price. For this 160HP fake you could buy a beautiful Maserati GrantTurismo... Or first gen R8, 911 Turbo, DB9, etc...

Its also foolish to own this car, as I'm sure Bugatti would love to see it crushed. The US isn't as protective about replica's as other countries, but its still a risk.

I agree. I suspect that the red shop rag at the rear of the car is covering up a Bugatti logo.

Can't say I agree, the guy put a lot of work into it and i think he did a great job. If you're a huge fan of a car but can't afford it, building a replica is an alternative. Sure, it was $90,000, but the guy wanted his own rendition of a Veyron.

It wasn't $90,000, and he didn't want his own rendition of a Veyron - he's just trying to make a quick buck hoping there is a sucker out there. $90,000 was a price he'd hope a sucker would buy in at - no one did. He's lowered that price, but still not low enough for any sucker to buy yet as far as I can tell.

And honestly - WHY pick a Veyron to buy replica body panels of to put on a boring car? The Veyron isn't known for its looks!!! A Zonda on the other hand... well, it can't be had in the US, and it looks like its from another planet. Of course, the Zonda is such a small car you'd have to actually make your own frame instead of using a <$1K donor car.

Ahh ok, I didn't know the first part. For me to buy it for $90,000, it had better be fast and sophisticated. I thought it just cost him $90,000 to create.

As far as the looks, well that personal preference. A lot of people like the Veyron's looks. I personally agree with you on that one, I'm not a fan of the Veyron.

Well the "Cougatti" doesnt really strike me as something I would drive or pay around $90K for. Here is a list of exotic cars (including several Ferraris of course) for the same price as the "Cougatti" with a much sexier and appealing look to them. The Ferrari 360 F1 Coupe and Spyder are my personal choices :)
