    Hello together,

while sorting pictures and documents on my new notebook I stumbled across another interesting item.
It shows the costs of being part of the exclusive Ferrari circle back in those good ol' days, when our 308 cars were quite new.
I found an invitation card, which Ferrari Germany sent to my dad in 1982 for celebration of 25 years anniversary of the German Ferrari importer 'Auto Becker' and introduction of the Mondial 8 QV.

The third scan shows the costs of being part of the party.

I'm not in the mood for translation all what's written and not very exciting, but the costs are:

For example participating was € 100.00 ($110.00 with today's conversion rate, 200.00 german mark) for a whole day including lunch and driving for 3 hrs. on the Nurburgring. And a 4 hrs. safe driving lessons on the legendary 'Nordschleife'.

That's not even the twentieth part of the costs for a 'Classiche Certificate' nowadays :)

    That's the other side of the coin. My dad's GT4 went for 15.000 DM (7.500 €, $8000.00)
A nearby Fiat-dealer struggled trying to sell a Daytona for €30.000.

IIRC the whole hype started not earlier than with Enzo's death in 1988. First Ferrari, then italian sports cars generally, then the whole classic car universe went through the ceiling.
