My F430 has sticky buttons. For those of you that have sent your buttons and vents out to be refinished, what was the approximate cost? Thanks.

Here’s another link for ya and there’s other links in that thread.
It all depends on what you want in the end. Cleaning them yourself is not difficult, but it is time consuming AND, you’ll end up without all the white letters and arrows, etc.
If you want absolute perfection, get in touch with Dave at StickyRX.
Remember, you get what you pay for !!!
    Good Luck,

StickyRX has a pricelist on their website.

As others say, you can do it yourself too. Some had more luck or more patience than others.

You can buy replacement decals now to return the appearance to stock if you go the DIY route.

I have semi-sticky buttons on my 430 and 360 and I wouldn't spend a nickel on making them non-sticky. Out of all the things I can spend money on to upgrade and maintain my Ferrari's, this is the last on my list. It's a non-event living with a tacky switch, lever or button that I interact with for mere seconds during each drive.

And it is silly easy to fix DIY. But, some struggle with getting air in their tires.

You would when the underside of the steering column cover gets to the point of being like tar and ruining your clothes. Same when touching other surfaces that have become tar-like.

This is how my interior door handles are. Definitely not something you can just “live with”. Will be a winter project.

I certainly wasn’t happy about having sticky parts all over the interior of my car, but it was terrible when a passenger gets in and ends up with tar on their clothes and on the nice Italian leather interior !!!
I did a lot of sticky removal myself. Some parts were easily removed and cleaned, some not, but what annoyed me was losing the graphics. I sent lots of parts to Dave at StickyRX. Not all at one time and most I used spare parts that I bought from exotic recycling companies, so my car was never down and Dave didn’t have to rush. Either way, I’m beyond happy that my interior is not sticky and is better now than it was new !!! The finish won’t get damaged like the original soft touch did. If you want a super interior, it’s worth the time and money to do it right.

What route you go is a personal thing. My car is a driver and not a showpiece but I can see the appeal of having everything perfect.

A previous owner of my car addressed mine in what I expect was a DIY fashion by using some solvent to get rid all of all that crappy tar like coating.

The only ‘downsides’ are that I don’t have the decals and they didn’t put on any replacement coating so I don’t have the nice rubber feel to the various controls.

Doesn’t bother me at all. I’m in HK so the air con stays pretty much full blast cold all the time, I don’t really need to touch any of the minor controls (air con, vents) it affects anyway, although I’m glad the door pulls are done.

I had an Alfa GT before that was affected with the same thing, no way could I spend $$$ to sort out crappy Fiat group parts.

Found out these button replacements will not fit a Scuderia/ 16M. Although the buttons look similar, they have a different design underneath.

If you have a Scud in the Gainesville, FL area, RDM would love to prototype the buttons and develop a solution that will fit our cars.

I spoke to Dave and got more info on this !!!
The RDM buttons don’t fit the SCUD most likely because this particular SCUD doesn’t have the rubber button assembly. The hard button assembly doesn’t require replacement, those buttons can be refinished, but at Sticky RX they now just replace those buttons with their hard touch laser etched buttons. The RDM rubber buttons are a cool mold but nothing remotely factory. Factory correct solutions are laser etched, not dual molded rubber for graphics.
I suggest that you get in touch with Dave and he can help you with this !!!
    Good Luck !!!

Thanks. I am curious if the Sticky RX solution would look any different from what I have now. Currently my buttons and not sticky since I removed that layer with a little alcohol and a microfiber. So I now have a hard, smooth finish and the graphics are intact. I was hoping to get the OEM look and feel back with the RDM solution, but clearly that is not correct fitment on a Scud.

No company is going to give you that "soft touch" feel, hence the reason the buttons go bad to begin with. If your buttons are not sticky and look OEM, leave them be is your best bet.
