I am following «cruisemulholland» on Instagram. He is a car enthusiast in Holland or Belgium, and have a very tasteful selection of classic cars. He also have a Blu Pozzi 550 Maranello. And he lives in California during the winters. NOW I understand why his nick name on Insta is «cruisemulholland»! Follow him! He just sold his old Jensen to Jay Leno!
I hope everyone is keeping safe, my thoughts go out to those with symptoms and the healthcare professionals on the frontline. To try to lighten the mood, looks like the designers of the Corvette are perhaps the most optimistic people in the world... or the supercar bargain of the century Image Unavailable, Please Login
All's good here so far. One nice side effect of all this is there's hardly any traffic on the roads these days. Weather's warming up nicely, too. Planning to take advantage this weekend and do some social distancing of the 550 Maranello kind!
There is zero traffic in the UK. Rush hour in London today was like 3am on a Sunday night in January. In 1985. You can be socially/medically responsible (depending on your local lockdown regulations) and enjoy your Ferrari. An A to A drive, alone, in an enclosed Maranello, is as isolated as being at home. In some places even this is not allowed. Here, you are allowed to do it if you are on a mission - shopping or caring for a vulnerable person, or going to work in an essential job. If that is the case, the empty roads and this week perfect weather are a tiny tonic in these harrowing times. I have taken my 575 out twice on missions this week, my 430 twice also, and in a normal week would have just been in the office and travelling (by plane and taxi). A tiny silver lining. All our very best to those suffering from this dreadful disease and situation.
Erik, beautiful dog and beautiful car. Was the casino shot taken this week? If so, does visiting Monte Carlo from Villefranche count as an "essential journey"...? Impressive if so. Wishing you all the best in the lockdown.
