Just a suggestion, but if you wanna hide that wire, what I did in a similar situation was paint the wire the color of the wall, and use two sided tape (industrial strength) and apply a narrow strip on one side of the cable and tack it to the wall in a straight line down. With it being painted it really blends in.

One tip though, apply the tape to the rubber before painting it, since the paint will come loose if you apply the tape to it.

Nope, not a pilot, just liked the mix of sheet metal, rivets, and mahogany wood. There's also something to be said for the uniqueness and history of it too. Plus the desk is big and gives me lots of room for the Apple Cinema 30" screen.

    Thanks for all the comments!

I should have P-shopped that out. That wire was just a temporary thing to test the PC output to the HDMI port on the display. It's under the floor and inside the wall now. In fact, with the Crestron matrix switching, I can throw the video from any source in the cabinet or any source in the house up to any device. It works pretty well with the right programming.

Want to really see some wires...check out our media cabinet below!

Yeah, it's fairly expensive stuff since it is all one-off. Besides all of the fabrication work, there's some travel involved since Giancarlo has to make a trip to the aircraft boneyard to find the right pieces. Then there is the looong wait to get it while he does his thing. He does some amazing work though.

I don't have a picture of it, but I was in a house once that had a HUGE stump from one of those giant redwood trees that had fallen down. The guy had it lowered by crane durring construction and the house was built around it. Then he had a professional carpenter come and carve a whole bar complete with stools that stuck out and shelves behind, still all one solid piece. It was VERY cool looking and unique.

What about this? The Biltmore hotel in downtown LA, opened in 1923, I think. I spent a few days there last month. It was the site of the first few Academy Awards ceremonies. Being there was like going back in time. The architecture and craftmanship are amazing.

My friends dad named it Portabello because the roof reminds him of a mushroom.

Why is there a Kay's Jewelers case next to the Gullwing? I'm guessing they own the chain???
