    Hello,

    Greetings from Jakarta.

I am a regular in F-Chat Lamborghini section but a newbie in 308.
A good friend of mine has a 308GTSi that had been converted to carbs but needs more information regarding the complete parts to do it perfectly.
According to him the last part that he has not changed yet is the adjustable twin distributor. He told me the ones that in the FI is non-adjustable.

How much are those? I Assume they are BOSCH distributors?

    Thank You.

    Cheers,
    Taffy.

I agree with scowman. Put it back together the way it was, and get a carb car if that's what you want. But... Beyond that, I'm curious as to why he began such an extensive conversion before having the complete set of necessary parts. I'd start here, and determine what parts he needs.

    Thanks for the info.

It is impossible to import any vintage vehicle to the country, hence the "buy a carburetor car" option cannot be done legally.

Contact user smg2. I believe he was working on designing a plug-and-play intake manifold for this. Also, not sure about your issue with fuel injection and distributors, but you can probably solve this issue by converting to an Electromotive XDi ignition. It has a computer control that directly fires the plugs at optimized timing, and bypasses the distributors entirely. Nicks Forza Ferrari sells them for about $1600, pre-set to be optimized for the 308 engine. Scott (smg2) is contracted as Nicks custom engine builder and design engineer, so he'd be a good resource to discuss with.

Well the carbed distributors are NON adjustable, they are pre set.

BUT they do vary the advance, from idle setting up to total advance.

You need the manifold, the set of four carbs, and the early camshafts, which can be ground from the set you have, if necessary.

I agree Russ project, which IIRC was at Norwood's in Dallas, is a good road map.
