When closing the convertible on my 2010 Cali the tear window panel slams closed, this can’t be normal

    HI John,
I have a 2011 Cali and the roof is my biggest nemesis. Sometimes it works perfectly, other times it doesn't. I would definitely take it to a F dealer for repair. I would not keep using it or some other problem may occur. Good luck!

I would suggest the same. It could be out of alignment or maybe a bumper is missing. Don't take chances!

Check for a hydraulic fluid leak in the trunk -- the cylinder is behind a little panel on the driver's side trunk wall. But I wouldn't operate the roof like that ... it sounds like it could be a very expensive failure waiting to happen. I don't even want to know what the window glass costs ;)
