    Hey guys,

While not conducted on a 360/430, this in-depth tire review no the brand new ExtremeContact Sport that debut earlier this month, is very thorough and includes Motec data overlays from a back to back comparison with the outgoing DW. Its offered in 430 sizes and could be a great PSS or PZero alternative.

MotoIQ.com's tire test of the brand new Continental ExtremeContact SPORT .

“Same level dry performance as a Michelin Pilot Super Sport”. That is a HUGE statement by Continental when the PSS is hands down the segment leading benchmark. Continental is extremely proud of their brand new ExtremeContact™ Sport tire that was just released earlier this month as a replacement for their ExtremeContact™ DW tire. We logged nearly a thousand miles on the new Sport in both the wet and dry, and put it up against the outgoing DW in a back to back test at Palm Beach International Raceway to see if it lives up to Continental’s claims.

    In the article:

-In-depth analysis of the new (from the ground up) ExtremeContact Sport.
-Street review in the dry and wet.
-Track Test at Palm Beach International Raceway.
-Motec Data overlays back to back testing the Sport with the outgoing DW.
    -Subjective Handling reviews.
    -Deciphering Continental's product lineup.

So good to have another option, it amazes me how everyone tries so hard to compete vs the Pilot super Sport and when finally they get "near" there, Michelin steps up its game and come with a new and even better tire (4S)

According to the Michelin engineers, the PS4S has similar dry performance to the PSS while improving the wet grip and reducing the rolling resistance. Since the ExtremeContact Sport is said t have better wet traction than the PSS, that should put them pretty close to eachother in the wet and dry.

    True!!
Still if you give me the option I will take the Michelins (I have PSS and I love them), but it is so good to have another option as competitive.

Off topic question (that I will put in the older thread too if you prefer to reply there)
The PSS is being phased out, most of us that have sets might need rear ones before front ones, is the PS4S a tire that you can combine with PSP??

I have the extreme contact DW (predecessor to the extreme contact sport) on my F430 and my 335d, no complaints really. The tires provide great dry and wet traction and can be just a tiny bit noisy. I've had the Extreme Contact DW on my F430 for the last 4k miles or so with very minimal wear.

I had the DW before the PSS and while I agree with you (no complaints at all) and I have always being skeptical about those UHP tests (how can they really tell a difference between top of the line tires besides measured tests to the last inch)
The PSS are indeed superior, I couldn't believe I actually felt a difference in steering response and grip.
Contis are a great option too.

Agreed, which is what Conti fixed on the new ExtremeContact Sport.
